When a view template is applied by Revit users to all the views in a sheet, all the properties of a view template are automatically applied to the views that are incorporated on the sheet in question.

Revit users must understand the difference between assigning a view template to a view or multiple views, and applying a view template to the view or multiple views. When a view template is assigned to a view a link is created between the recently applied template and the view in question. In this case when changes are made to view template later on, they instinctively apply to all linked views.

that case a dialog is displayed to the users indicating whether users would like to partially apply the view template to the views in question.

o If in case they do not want to apply the properties of the selected template they should click ‘No.’
