This loyalty program was a joint effort between Northern (Gongshow’s Agency) and Sweet Tooth, and the results are extraordinary!

Gongshow’s customers have always been vocally supportive of the brand on social media, but they decided that a loyalty program would make this relationship even stronger! Gonger Nation Rewards Club was started to

give back to vocal brand advocates and inspire others.

The following results were seen over the course of one year.

By rewarding customers for creating an account as well as requiring customers to create an account to keep their points earned on an order, GONGSHOW was able to increase their customer accounts by a whopping 77%.

+20%PURCHASES OVER $90

To help incentivize higher order values, customers were given bonus points if they spent over $90. This subtle incentive to spend more increased GONGSHOW’s revenue by 20%.

+8.9%AVERAGE ORDER SIZE

Because customers were given bonus points for spending more than they usually would, GONGSHOW’s average order value for the entire site increased by 8.9%.

+24%CONVERSION RATE

Big results require big changes. Instead of optimizing for fractions of a percent in conversion rate improvement, GONGSHOW invested in loyalty and was able to increase their ecommerce conversion rate by an incredible 24%.

GONGSHOW’s loyalty program is called Gonger Nation to instill a deep sense of community within all loyalty program members. By joining Gonger Nation, you are joining the nation of people who love everything about hockey.

Customers are rewarded for spending more, and brand advocates are rewarded for sharing GONGSHOW with their friends.

Gonger Nation Rewards Club

Bonus rewards are set at slightly higher order totals in order to incentivize higher average order sizes.

Customers are given bonus points if they spend over $65, $90, or $150.

These bonus points increased GONGSHOW’s average order value by 8.9%, and increased revenue in the $90-$150 range by an incredible 20%!

Engagement & brand advocacy are integral components of Gonger Nation Rewards. Customers are rewarded for creating an account, signing up for the newsletter, reviewing products, sharing products on social media, and referring friends.

By rewarding customers for creating accounts & referring their friends, as well as requiring their customers create a loyalty account to gain loyalty points on orders, GONGSHOW increased new account registrations by an extraordinary 77%!

All site visitors - even guests - are shown how many points they’ll earn on products & purchases. If a new customer views their cart or checkout without creating an account, they’re shown that they’ll lose the points on their order.

Not only did this increase the number of new accounts created by 77%, it also increased the conversion rate by 24%!
