How "The Trunk" reflects learning in this program: Theory and Practice: At the center of our learning is the combination of theory and practice. It is integral to find harmony between the two by integrating theory into practice and vice versa. Elementary to High School: Each of the rings represents the layers of our education, both formal and informal. All of our experiences in life from the beginning of when we started learning through school have had an impact on who we are today as teachers. University: Bachelors Degrees Master’s Degree: Through all of the different courses there is knowledge that we have gained and concepts we have learned that have been both formal and informal—formal in the class, informal in our conversations and our experiences as we have moved through our courses. There is also the life experience, the practical experience of teaching and application of theories to what we are learning at the same time.
