Radiant barrier insulation is essentially a sheet

of shiny aluminum that reflects up to 95% of

infrared radiation incident on it

How does radiant barrier insulation work?

Radiant heat transfer from the sun

Infrared radiation from the sun travels through the vacuum of space and reaches the earth.

When radiation strikes matter its energy is converted to heat energy, much like how it feels warm near a room heater or a tandoor.

Why it is hot in the sun and cool in the shade

On a hot day

people seek out

the shade of

trees not just

because of the

shade but also

because the

leaves dissipate

infrared rays

preventing them

from reaching

the subject.

However it is not

always cool in

the shade.

It can get hot even in the shade as the roof heats up and starts radiating

Inside a building there is shade but that does not mean it is comfortable.

The roof of any building absorbs infrared radiation and heats up. The hot roof in turn radiates heat to the buildings occupants causing discomfort and heat stress

Ecosulation reflects IR radiations making interiors cooler

Ecosulationradiant barrier insulation is installed below the roof with an air gap.

The mirror like surface of the material reflects up to 95% of the infrared radiations emitted by the roof making the interiors surprisingly cooler.

Reflective insulation is installed with an air gap to reduce heat transfer via conduction

An air gap of at least one inch is necessary between the roof and the layer of reflective film insulation

While Ecosulationreflects up to 95% of the radiant heat back to the roof, the insulating air gap prevents heat transfer via conduction between the hot roof and the layer of insulation

We offer installation services for Ecosulation reflective insulation. Reflective insulation can be installed below or above roof purlins. Our experienced team ensures that operations are not disturbed and installation is carried out with minimum hassle.

How is Ecosulation Installed?

Easy and hassle free installation in new and existing sites

Since the material has to cover the entire roof, if necessary ,an iron rod is affixed to the sides of the roof so that it provides a place where the material and the supporting wires can be attached.

Anchoring provided for supporting wires and material

Steel wires are then strung between the anchor and the purlins. These wires would then be used to support pre cut lengths of Ecosulationinsulation.

Wires laid out between purlins to support weight

Sheets of Ecosulation are laid out above the wires and secured with tape. Care is taken to ensure that an air gap is maintained between the roof and layer of insulation so that heat transfer through conduction is minimized.

Precut lengths of Ecosulation are laid out over the supporting wire. Overlap is taped securely

Wherever there is an overlap between two sheets of Ecosulation, reflective tape is affixed to maintain a shiny surface.
