How to achieve minimal thermal conductivity?
� λtotal = λsolid + λgas + λradiation + λconvection
• Reduced atmosphericpressure inside the VIP
• Almost zero
• Negligible below 100°C
• Use envelopes/films with a high gas barrier� Use aluminium foil
