How has feedback helped me?

Types of feedback

• Teacher feedback- this is feedback I received from my teachers.

• Peer feedback- this is feedback I got from my peers in my group (my group members).

• Audience feedback- this is feedback I got from members of the audience.

Teacher feedback• This proved extremely useful throughout the project.• One way teacher feedback has helped me is the feedback I got from my

teacher, Mr Hall, about how I could improve my blogging ability from AS to A2. He did this by giving me feedback as to how produce a better blog at A2 than AS.

• In my AS blog the majority of my posts were extensive text based posts. Mr Hall gave me feedback about this style of blogging. He said that it was boring and that by simply just putting up text I was not showcasing my media presentation skills.

• He told me I could change this by presenting my work, on my blog, in other forms. I decided to make changes to my blogging style according to his feedback.

• The main change I made was changing the presentational style of my posts, by using Prezi, SlideShare and other online tools, to creatively present my work.

Teacher feedback

• Mr Hall also helped my group remember to think about theorists when creating ideas for our final music video.

• He did this by reminding us to follow Goodwins’ theory of narrative in our music video.

• This made my group change our original idea and blocked plan, to pursue a new idea which used Goodwins’ theory of narrative more closely.

Teacher feedback

• Teacher feedback also helped me in post production.

• I was told by my teachers that I needed to reduce the glare and brightness of my music video, as it was reducing the videos picture quality.

• This feedback later influenced our group decision to re-film some of our footage, so that it was glare free.

Peer feedback

• I feel that peer feedback was essential in post production.

• As a group we all created individual edits. So we all knew the music video and song very well by the time it came to creating a group edit.

• This helped in the creation of the final group edit as my peers were able to offer me extremely detailed feedback on how to improve my editing of the final group video.

Audience feedback

• This helped me the most in the creation of my ancillary products.

• My research into the CD industry from the audiences perspective gave me valuable incite into how to create an effective Digipak for my artists album.

• Furthermore my audience research into music artists website gave me key knowledge which I later used to help me create my artists website.
