Has an estimated population of 170.1 million, Nigeria is easily the most populous country on the African continent.

It accounts for approximately one quarter of the population of West Africa.

The variety of languages and customs among the more than 250 different ethnic groups gives the country a rich diversity. - Already discussed the implications of this for translation and back translation or rather lack of it.

70% live in poverty on less than $1 a day

Regional difference in alcohol of men and women in Nigeria

But If I drink Partner aggression decreased with age in all countries, although this relationship did not reach statistical significance in Nigeria (for aggression by and toward a partner) and India and Uganda for aggression by a partner. After controlling for age, being a drinker affected the odds of experiencing aggression by a partner more for men than for women in all countries except Nigeria and Uganda (for aggression by and toward a partner) and the UK (for aggression by partner).

Though it has been found that men are more likely than women to seek medical or other professional help for alcohol problems.

Nigeria has been found at the higher end with men being 12 times more likely than women, seconded only by India where the men are only 10 times as more likely. The rates are much smaller in Uganda with figures that are somewhat similar to those of Denmark and the UK.
