HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY TEXTS?

Both the Music Video (Main Product) and the Ancillary Texts (Posters, Digi-pak) combine well together as they are very similar due to the

ancillary texts being related to the main product itself. It was best to do so relating all of the products as it all combines as one and makes the

product more recognisable to a national audience.

DIGI-PAKThe Digi-Pak relates to the main product as the images I had taken on the final day of shoot were used for the Pak. I did this so all of the ancillary texts I had created related back to the music video, because I wanted audience members who had seen the main product recognise the Digi-Pak.

POSTERWith the Poster, I had used the same Image as I had used for the Digi-Pak because I wanted it to be an iconic image within the Music Industry, so making the photograph the main poster too helps with this task. Again, the Poster relates back to the main product because the image is the setting for a part of my music video (The Beach).

TEXT COMBINATIONSFor both the Poster and Digi-Pak, I tried to stay true to the texts I had used in both ancillary texts. The “Jemma Pixie Hixon” text was incorporated in both the Poster and Digi-Pak, including the “Fade Away” text. For the Artists text, I had researched images (edited) of her that included her name in text. Her products mainly included purple colouring, so used this colour within the text.

Original text on Poster of hers. Downloaded text similar to the one I had seen.

IMAGE COMBINATIONSAgain for both the Poster and Digi-Pak, I didn't want to create the ancillary texts so they could not be referred back to the main product. So I had taken a photograph on the final shoot (The Beach) and used it (after editing it that is) as the key image for the Poster and Digi-Pak.
