How does your media product represent particular social groups?

LocationLocation is an important part of British Social Realism films. The film was shot and is set on a council estate. We felt filming here would help emphasise the Social Realism genre. It is a visual method used to portray people living in the lower classes. The messy and dilapidated flat represents a lack of caring for the flat and possibly the lack of means in order to help keep the flat in order. The use of a Tesco store represents the lower class as having less money and shopping in a store with cheap goods

CharactersThe main character Taylor is from a lower class background. She appears to be an aggressive and loud character from her manner and tone. The lower classes are represented as poorer than other classes as shown by the state of their area and costumes.
