ArchiCAD provides great tools to edit objects.

WALL CLEANUP

In the example at the rightwe would like to join thetwo walls together.

We need to SELECT thewalls. Choose the ARROW.Make sure the MAGNEToption is selected. Underthis selection anything youmove over will be selected.

Select the horizontal wall andthen HOLD down the SHIFTkey to ADD to the selectionset. With the SHIFT heldDOWN select the vertical wall.

Select the tool shown at right. Itworks similar to a FILLET.

Press the ESC key twice tounselect the walls.

ROTATE

Using the ARROWSELECT the object torotate.

The dots that appear arecritical positions on theobject ie: endpoints

Select the GRIP as shownwhich will bring up a PALLchoices for us. Please note that

the choices change dependingon what you can do with theobject.

Select ROTATE fromthe choices by LEFTMOUSE CLICKING onthe icon.

Using theARROW select theobject tomove.Select a

GRIP touse areverence point and move object in the direction youwish to move. You can also type in the move value.

CHANGING the PROPERTIES of an OBJECT

You can change

ANYTHING aboutANY OBJECT usingPROPERTIES.

Suppose we want toget rid of the sink inour cabinet andhave the end linesdisplay.

Using the ARROWSELECT the objectand then pick theICON on theINFOBOX

You can also RIGHT MOUSE CLICK and selectPROPERTIES.

Pick on None and you

will see an arrow you canselect and choose BOTH.

Next select SINK

Select the ARROWand choose NONE.

This is typical of ways to change information about anyobject. Note that you can dig deeper and change almostanything about any object.

The above choices resulted in a cabinet with no sinkand with end lines displayed.

When the results are not quite what you were looking forselect the object and go digging deeper.
