After carrying out surveys and video research for my target audience, I used the results from my surveys and videos to create what my target audience said they liked in a music magazine.

The colours above are the potential colour schemes that I may use for my music magazine. I asked 20 people who represented my target audience to look at these two potential photos that I may use for my front cover and contents page they had to choose which colour scheme that they wanted to see on my final product.

The first colour scheme was Black, white and Yellow, the second was black and white and the third one was green and white.

I then asked my target audience to look at the pictures above, these photos were potential photos for the front cover of my magazine. They then had to decide which photo they liked best and which colour scheme would go best with a photo they appealed to more. After my audience feed back the most popular colour scheme was the first one which was yellow, black and blue.

After I had taken the feedback from my target audience, I incorporated it in the making of my front cover and contents page.

And now as a result of audience feedback, I have used the colour scheme of yellow black and blue mainly on my front cover, it was not as predominant on my contents page and double page spread which I am aware off.

For my double page spread, I chose to go with the colour scheme of green and white. This was because I thought

that It went well with the photo on the double page spread, and it also allowed for the text on the double page spread to stand out so that it could be easier for my audience to

read.

As part of my research and planning, I also recorded videos of members of my target audience and I asked them questions such as if they liked the hip hop genre, and if so, what type of hip hop artists they liked, and what they would like to see in a hip hop magazine.

The majority of my audience said that they would like to see more UK based themes in my magazine and they the artists in my magazine doing something positive in the community. They also said that they would like to see the latest news about current artists, interviews which I did incorporate for my article on my double page spread, the fashion that hip hop artists display.
