altuve inked: On Monday, the Astros announced the signing of IF Jose Altuve to a seven-year contract that will keep the 2017 AL MVP in an Astros uniform through the 2024 season...Altuve is a lifelong Astro, having been signed by Houston as a 16-year-old amateur free agent out of Venezuela in September of 2006...after playing in just four minor league seasons, he debuted with Houston in 2011 at just 21 years old and has gone on to appear in 982 regular season games and 24 postseason contests in an Astros uniform.
