    OVERVIEW

    In order to manage your Kingdoms economy and workforce there are three things you need to be aware of:

    POPULATIO

    TAX RATE

    HAPPIESS

    For quick monitoring of you levels, hover the mouse over the following.

    For a more in depth analysis of the ins and outs of your city then select the overview

    button (also available by clicking on your castle), this will give you a complete breakdownof everything going on in the selected city, from recourses to troop amounts.

    This is also where you set your TAX RATES and can buy a quick boost of happiness, or

    trade in a little bit of joy for a quick boost to revenue. Handy if you need that extra little

    push to get things going.

    Farms, Sawmills, Ore Mines and Stone Quarries all require a healthy workforce.

    Gold is used forresearching in alchemy labs and paying the Knights in yourKnights hall, andalthough overlooked is still an important commodity.

    You gain gold by taxing the population of your kingdom, therefore the best way to ensure a healthyincome is to ensure a healthy population.

    The wages of your Knights increase with their level. To avoid unnecessary costs you should only

    employ the minimum amount of Knights you require; 1 per assigned task (Stewards, Foreman,Alchemist and Marshall), and 2 or 3 Knights to lead your army, depending on its size.

    TRAIIG TROOPS

    Obviously if you want to train a large army then you need a large population from which to recruit newmembers. Whether they are just proud villagers raising arms to fight for the Kingdom in the name oftheir Lord and Master (which you promptly dispose of as waves of cannon fodder), or mighty siegemachines used for destroying the walls of your enemies Every troop choice requires space within your

    city.

    The following shows how much population space is required per military unit.

    THE MOST IMPORTAT THIG to remember is to keep an eye on your housing.

    There shouldnt be any need to increase taxes above 15 - 20% if your housing is

    sufficient!

    Most people lean towards 9 10 houses, be sure to upgrade them as often as you can to

    the highest level allowed by your castle, you will also notice a quick build up of might

    which will take the edge off the tedium.

    The following shows the increase to your population cap for each level of cottage;

    Level Yield

    1 Raises your Population Limit by 100

    2 Raises your Population Limit by 300

    3 Raises your Population Limit by 600

    4 Raises your Population Limit by 1,000

    5 Raises your Population Limit by 1,500

    6 Raises your Population Limit by 2.100

    7 Raises your Population Limit by 2,800

    8 Raises your Population Limit by 3,600

    9 Raises your Population Limit by 4,500

    10 Raises your Population Limit by 5,500

    Houses will however only increase your population cap, and not the population itself. For

    your population to rise, then your villagers must be happy.

    To make them happy you get them DRUK and LOWER TAXES makes sense.

    Upgrade your Tavern often and keep a close eye on your Tax Levels. Youll find hordes

    of Rich Drunkards flocking to your city in no time. Then you can send them off to work

    in the fields and sign them up for military duty!

    There are two Items available to you from the shop that will help with gold income and one thatincreases happiness. All are available in the shop in exchange for gems, or if youd rather leave it tochance you can pick them up playing Merlins Magic Boxes

    Day of Prosperity = Increases Tax Revenue by 100% for 24 hours

    Week of Prosperity = Increases Tax Revenue by 100% for 7 days

    Mass Hypnosis = Instantly Increases Happiness to 100
