The project began with a series of ho-mogeneous, painted grey brick housing units. In order to remove the image of nondescript, government housing, we designed a variety of facades using a lim-ited architectural language to individu-alize the dwellings but also maintain a sense of community identity. There was a total of 66 units, and they were trans-formed to appear as 33 distinct dwellings.
