ResourceSmart Venues and events

Sustainability Victoria has recently been awarded funding from the National Packaging Covenant to develop a strategic roadside litter prevention and resource recovery behaviour change kit to be trialled in Victoria, evaluated and then made available nationally. The program will be evidence-based, drawing together existing research and learnings of previous programs, and will use the best practice integrated model promoted by VLAA involving education, infrastructure, systems and enforcement.

The project will research and develop the kit, develop a program planning and evaluation workshop package, deliver two workshops in Victoria to trial the programs on two major highways and associated roads across the state in summer; and will include evaluation of its effectiveness.
