Netballers win first match of the season We had our first match of the season on Wednesday night against Oakhurst. You would not have known it was some of our team’s first game as they played with confidence and great skill. The attacking was brilliant and we even managed to score 7 goals on a blustery afternoon. Whichever children were playing in defence made it a tough job for Oakhurst to get the ball and we finished the game with a 7–1 win. A special thank you has to go to Mrs Wickens, who came up to umpire the match for us, and Mrs Painter for supporting the team. We have been learning the rhymes 5 Currant Buns in the Baker’s Shop and Pat a Cake Pat a Cake. The children loved making and eating their own cakes in the classroom and creating forest meals in the woods. We are doing lots of rhyming. Netballers win first match of the season We had our first match of the season on

Wednesday night against Oakhurst. You would not

have known it was some of our team’s first game as

they played with confidence and great skill. The

attacking was brilliant and we even managed to score

7 goals on a blustery afternoon. Whichever children

were playing in defence made it a tough job for

Oakhurst to get the ball and we finished the game

with a 7–1 win.

Road Safety Poster Winner Thank you for all the posters we received for the road safety poster competition, they were of a really high quality and all entrants receive 5 House Points. The Travel Ambassadors found it a difficult decision to find an overall winner, so we have two.

On 14th December ALL children have

Christmas lunch on the same day. Those with

sandwiches will eat their lunches in a classroom.

KS2 (Y3 to Y6) - Please order your Christmas lunch by

Friday 8th December in the same way as you order

normal school lunches …

THEREFORE, PLEASE ORDER NEXT WEEK.

Rec, Yr1 and Yr2 do not need to pay, as the

government pays for these children, but you DO still

need to book a Christmas lunch online in advance via

www.scopay.com - by Fri 8th December.

All children may come to school in non-uniform/party

clothes on 14th December 2017.

Christmas Discos

Also on 14th December – Discos As usual 5.15-6.15pm for FS2&KS1 children

and 6.45-8pm for children in KS2.

Refreshments are available for parents in

the Reception Area and there will be the Hamper Raffle

Draw at the transition between discos.

Parents - please keep all coats with you and

bring them back when you collect your children.

ALL CHILDREN OF ALL AGES MUST BE COLLECTED

BY AN ADULT IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE DISCO.

Carol Service and Christmas Jumpers

We are not asking for donations for wearing Christmas

Jumpers, but children can choose to wear them with

their uniform on the last day of term.

The Carol Service starts in the church at 12.30pm.

As always parents are invited, but please be aware that as the children get bigger, the space in the church gets tighter and parents may be sat outside the church hall.

Acorn Class IS NOT included in the Christmas lunch, Carol Service or disco arrangements.

Acorn Class IS involved in the nativities.
