HOUSE OF ORGANZA, now in its third season, is the brainchild of stylist and brand consultant Kim Howells and designer / event director Lyall Hakaraia. Working as curators they pull together a stable of designers to produce seasonal collections of one-offs; blending brands, talent, personality and inspiration. After two successful seasons showcased through Dazed Digital and SHOWstudio (who showcased the seminal film by Jez Tozer featuring Jourdan Dunn) House of Organza is thrilled to present AW11’s Muse.

Inspiration for Muse sprung from the paintings of Yves Klein who created works of art in his eponymous shade of blue, famously using living ‘human brushes’ to achieve his ideals. The canvas for AW11 is expert muse and performance artiste Mr Roy, who provides the body and soul for the work that the House of Organza collective create, modelling the results for this summer’s House of Organza photographic and digital media exhibi-tion, with creative direction by Alùn Davies, scheduled for June 30th. Each member of the collective has been given a project manifesto, a metre of blank canvas (to paint in a blue of their choice) and then complete freedom to interpret the con cept in a manner relevant to their particular arena of fashion design. The results are a true celebration of talent, fashion disciplines and individuality.

AW11 sees Craig Lawrence, Dr. Noki, Fred Butler, Lyall Hakaraia, Patternity and Piers Atkinson who, together, have produced a collection of accessories and clothing available upon request at Ella Dror PR.
