ISG Role: Fit out

Hotels and hospitality showcase

Achieving the ambience that our hospitality and leisure customers are famous for is a challenge that ISG enjoys. Our hospitality portfolio ranges from private boutique hotels through to international chains and encompasses both new and existing premises as well as listed buildings. This gives us the opportunity to continually showcase our full range of capabilities including refurbishment and fit out, through to full mechanical and electrical installations and infrastructure upgrades.

Our thorough understanding of the hotel sector means that, whatever our customers' concerns, we have the expertise and experience to find the right solution. This includes our responsibility to uphold your brands' reputation and underpin your commitment to your customers by getting our job exactly right – the first time.

In 23 years of operation we have established a workforce and supply chain with a wealth of experience in the hotel sector. No matter the size, value or scope of technical complexity, we have access to the right resources both within ISG and from our supply chain.

Our commitment to sustainability is evident across all the sectors we work in. We are the people behind the most sustainable building on the 2012 Olympic Park-the Velodrome and some of the world's only BREEAM Outstanding and LEED Platinum projects.

ISG’s trademark quality and attention to detail can be seen throughout some of the world’s best hotels. With our completed hotel projects hosting millions of guests each year, we know that the quality and robustness of our work will come under the closest and most discerning scrutiny.

Significant structural work was performed to the ground floor to provide an open-plan layout, allowing the various guest areas to flow seamlessly into one another from the ground floor reception through to a tea lounge, winter garden area, contemporary restaurant and feature pub.

The new layout was created across the basement and ground-floor levels, weaving the three structures into a single, unified building.

The hotel boasts a range of entertainment spaces across the basement and ground floor and comprises a restaurant, bar, kitchens, conference and banqueting accommodation and a gym. Additional back of house areas include the hotel’s plant room and IT infrastructure.

Stretching almost 900 ft, the Atrium links the integrated resort's three hotel towers and provides the main gateway into the casino. The mixed-use space includes retail outlets, restaurants, bar areas and hotel reception facilities. A major feature was the construction of the Lion Garden Bridge which dramatically cuts through the Atrium taking visitors into the heart of the development.

Salthouse Harbour HotelCreating great space

This four-star luxury waterfront hotel required its facilities to be extended. Our team demolished an adjoining snooker club and constructed a contemporary, concrete-frame extension, providing an additional 27 bedrooms, a new reception and enlarged restaurant and dining area. The new space complements the existing 43 bedroom hotel, which opened in 2003.

The Savoy GrillHistoric features and modern charm

The Savoy Grill was designed to seat approximately 130 diners in modern comfort without losing any of the charm it has long been famous for. A major overhaul was performed to the existing space, whilst retaining the restaurants historical features. Sir Winston Churchill and Marilyn Monroe were both frequent visitors to the Savoy Grill and their favourite chairs remain as part of the décor.
