radio link sector for the broad-cast industry. The highly spe-cialised staff, the attention paidto each and every single phase ofthe production from the designto the realization of the productand the use of high quality com-ponents form the benchmark ofElber's philosophy. In the past years, Elber has focused itsresources on the mobile microwave link

market. Many investmentshave been made in thisfield: from the design ofthe first model TMC/P tothe SPM, with its possibil-ity to place two RF headsfor duplex or redundantconfigurations.

Today, Elber offers thenew CPM: practical, por-table, analogue or digital.It is the suitable model forfast and reliable link: digi-

tal COFDM technology, extremely lownoise RF oscillators, ensuring stable con-nections also under harsh weather anddifficult terrain conditions.

The CPM operates in any 500MHzband between 6 GHz and 15 GHz. Themodulation can be either analogue(FM) or digital(COFDM). An ex-ternal IF input fordifferent or back-up signals is alsoavailable.

The system canbe composed of in-door and outdoorunits or outdoorunits only. The out-door equipment iscomposed of a Tri-pod complete withPanoramic Head,Base Plate, Ortho-mode Transducer,Parabolic Dish com-plete with feederand one or two RFHeads. The outdoorcontrol units havethe same dimensionsof the RF heads andcan be placed un-der the equipment,connected througha RG-216 cable. Theindoor control unitsare 1U 19" standardrack and can belodged in a van.

The weather-proof RF heads that

can be installed on the base plate can be(depending on the application) singleTransmitting or Receiving Head (Sim-plex), two Transmitting or two Receiv-ing Heads (Double Simplex) or a Trans-mitting and a Receiving Head (Duplex).

Elber also offers a wide range of acces-sories that help in the transportation andinstallation of its mobile links: antennas,carrying cases, cable drums, etc.
