She is the mother of four sons, and resides in Keeseville with her hus­band, James Van Tilburg.

Mrs. McMuitry: 91 Years Young,!

Mrs. Gertrude McMur-try formerly of Crown Point celebrated her 91st birthday at her home in Glens Falls on January 22nd. She wishes to thank all her friends and r e l a t i v e s who sent greetings i also for the telephone calls she receiv­ed.

Her niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lit­chfield of Buckland, Mass. took a chicken din­ner complete with a birth­day cake to her home for the noon meal. That even­ing the family gathered for dinner, including her granddaughter, Joan and family came from Albany; her daughters, Mrs. Helen

Groom and Mrs. Ger­trude Glebus. Her grand­son. S/Sgt. James Glebus surprised her by coming home from the Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mrs. McMurtry had recently been hospitalized but seemed to be enjoying good health and felt that she had an eventful birth­day.

Born in B o s t o n . Newcomb holds a BA Degree in Forrestry from the University of New Hampshire. He has com­pleted many courses for Financial Institutions, and real es tate appraisal courses.

Newcomb is married to the former Elaine H. Tut-ton of Ithaca. The Newcombs reside in Peru with their three daughters and a son.
