Having saying that the subgenre of my film I would say is a thriller/psychological as the movie focuses on a manipulator playing games and putting the girls under threat for her own pleasure.

Target audience

Screen ClippingAfter reading this, I came to the conclusion my movie will be a 15 because its not a sexual film and any sort of terrorizing is not actually shown but the way the film is played out you get the drift of terrorizing events that occur..

Synopsis

5 16 year olds go camping on a summers day, one goes for a walk and never returns (Amber), a year later her body is found, she's dead. As soon as she's 10 ft under the remaining girls Sasha, Erica, heather, Anna begin to get anonymous text, but the texter seems to know everything that only amber knew, so the texter forces them to do things they'd never thought they'd do to their friends and family or their secrets will be exposed. Eventually the text arranges a meeting spot for the girls which is a dollhouse and the texter treats them like dolls, eventually Sasha's boyfriend investigating the story is in the background getting closer to exposing the texter, who turns out to be no other than Amber.

Protagonist

Has to be the boyfriend (Terry)

He did save the day so therefore hes the hero

Antagonist

Has to be Amber

As she faked her own death and played the girls against each other

Inferred meaning- is that no one can be trusted even your best friend can have a dark side and also things are never what they seem.

Symbolic codes I will be using are-

Eye opening I feel like this is effective in horror movies as you can almost sense the fear in a character through their eyes

Secluded location which will be the doll house this is effective as the audience doesnt no what to expect when they get there

Someone is killed in the first 5 minutes - this will be amber and I think this makes the movie start will tension which makes it more intriguing

Theory Applied

EQUILIBRIUM- Happy camping, best of friends, marshmallows and laughter

DISEQUILIBRIUM- Missing girl, anonymous texter, girls being against each other

RESOLUTION- Meet anonymous texter and revelation of the texter
