An Automatic Level is a professional leveling tool used by contractors, builders, land surveing professionals, or the engineers who demands accurate leveling every time. Auto levels set up fast, are easy to use, and save time and money on every job. Some auto levels come in kits that include the grade rod and tripod. Auto levels are great for fence builders, foundation installer, excavations, deck builders, landscaping pros, swimming pol builders, home builders, roadwork jobs, ... etc.In order to do the job properly, be it setting a line for laying concrete blocks, or setting the grade on a driveway or farm road, the right auto level must be chosen. Be sure to understand what the job is and what the different levels can do.There are different types of automatic levels, each one designed for a specific job type:

Auto level type

Uses

Dumpy level General survey work such as setting property lines; laying out highways, power lines, and other large area construction where horizontal measurements are essential.

Builders auto level

Good for most general survey work, as well as setting horizontal markers for masonary work, such as brick and block laying; useful in setting foundations and installing subflooring in residental and industural construction.

Laser level Most useful when laying out foundations; masonary work; other jobs where a 360 degree reference line is needed.

Digital level Useful for general survey and most construction projects but with the added benefit of more precise data collection and the ability to record.

small projects like hanging shelves and picture, and professional jobs like mounting thermostats, electrical receptacles, and light switches.

EquipmentsList of equipments and tools need to completing the test:

Automatic level Tripod Staff

ProcedureSteps and instructions to set up an automatic level and measuring horizontal distances:

1. Setup tripod as level as possible, step on tripod legs to drive into the ground.

2. Attach auto level to the tripod.3. Adjust level so bubble is centered in vial.4. Adjust resital util crosshairs are clear.5. Adjust the objective lense until object you are sighting

on is clear.6. Select two points (A and B) to measuring the distance

between them.7. Place the auto level over point A and the staff over

point B. Take the reading.8. Shift the instrument (auto level and tripod) to point B

and staff to point A, and take the reading again.9. The distance between two points (at there A and B) can

be determind by this equation: (Upper reading – Lower reading) × 100 = Distance between A and B

Result and ConclusionUsing an automatic level can improve the accuracy needed when grading a roadway or setting the foundationof an new home. Just as important to the individual, automatic levels can make doing smaller jobs better, such as hanging pictures, shelving, and shower curtain rods. From the data of previous table the result can be determine, by this equation:Distance between A and B ¿ (133 .1−122. 8 )×100=1030cm
