Hope Zarro has been a licensed hair stylist, wig stylist and makeup artist for the span of 20 years. Her career started when she was cutting hair for extra income during high school then went on to get her cosmetology license. As a young girl in grade school she was inspired Bridget Bardot, Victoria’s Secret and the film “Barbarella” she dreamed of one day creating hairstyles for the stars. Her career began to take off when she was accepted into the Drama Department at The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center in New York City. Being selected to take on this internship; where she learned the skill of making wigs from scratch, ventilating, measuring and creating wig pieces for Broadway like CATS and Chicago, as well as films, and fashion editorial layouts. She then moved her talents to Los Angeles where she owned her own beauty studio in Marina Del Rey, while landing her first on camera hair and makeup job on the hit series BECOMING on MTV. While running the salon she began to work on the USA NETWORK as a regular on camera hair and makeup artist on the show Character Fantasy Makeover. From there she landed more jobs television networks behind the scenes and on camera, such as Bravo, ABC, The Style Network, HBO, VH1, USA Network. Her range of celebrity clientele includes, Karina Smirnoff, Jeannie Mai, Daya, Eric Roberts, Lorraine Bracco, Edie Falco, Michael Imperioli, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Drea de Mateo, Steve Buscemi, Anthony Mackie, Glenn Howerton, Dwayne Johnson, John Savage, James Duval, Katherine Wallace, Rainbeau Mars, Sophie Simmons and Vicky Gundelson. She has created looks and creative concepts for countless magazines like Galore, Modern Luxury , Haute, 944, LA Confidential , Shape, and Muscle and Fitness, while also working the red carpet events such as the The Oscars, The Emmy Awards and Grammy’s. Hope is a rare find, she is an artist that designs the entire look for her clients, where the hair style and makeup is one for her, as she rocks them both and told by many of her clients that they hire her because she is equally talented at hairstyling and makeup. Hope’s cosmetic sales experience ranges from retail stores, to hair brands, cosmetics and beauty brands, such as Smashbox Cosmetics, The Click and Curl system, and Claudio Raiz Cosmetics and Brushes. Her responsibilities include: assisting customers, identifying skin types, collecting payments, and handling complaints. Her selling abilities, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, computer operation, and customer service have strengthened her in overseeing weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals, and daily business reports.
