Hope Inspires! Who doesn’t love springtime? The newness of life brings excitement after the bleak winter past. Buds and blossoms fill the trees with fresh new innocence. Tiny flowers break through the ground in purples and whites announcing the arrival of a new beauty. Springtime proclaims resurrection in graphic terms. Spring adds emphasis to Jesus’ empty tomb. We see new opportunity in the risen Savior. We celebrate forgiveness, mercy and a new life. I’m glad it goes with spring. It inspires my heart! When I look at children, I see budding possibility, the bloom of hope. They don’t know what they will become in the years ahead. We don’t know their full potential either, but we work to clear the rubble, cultivate the ground so the flower can reach toward heaven. People, past and present, are proof hope breathes new life into young hearts here at NMCCH. We at NMCCH live in a garden of hope. We don’t know what the flower will look like but we know there will be a season of blossoms. We see it all the time. The Home protects, nourishes, and then glories in Christ Jesus who provides the new growth. His hope inspires! (This guest editorial is by Tom Pittmon, our new Director of Public Relations. Tom was a boy in our Residential Homes back in the 1960’s. After preaching for 8 years, we couldn’t be prouder, couldn’t have a better representative to take a leadership position in promoting our homes.) Open Hearts! Connected Hands! When time came to go home, Zach had to fight back the tears because he was having so much fun. Like Zach, many children come to see that working is not only satisfying, but often fun. They love everything from burning tumble weeds to vaccinating and branding calves. Children are always encouraged to work. They are taught how to work safely. They are taught how to use different tools, how to work around animals, or whatever else a particular job may entail. Children are taught that working on a farm is a privilege. Most of the children understand this because they have never had the opportunity to work on a farm before. The children see first-hand that working on the farm is a true blessing. When school lets out for summer many of the children will get to raise an animal of their own (or animals) for exhibiting at the fairs. The children genuinely enjoy getting to participate in this program and they learn to work hard. They practice “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” Colossians 3:23). Hope Inspires!Who doesn’t love springtime? The newness of life brings excitement after the bleak winter past. Buds and blossoms
fill the trees with fresh new innocence. Tiny flowers break through the ground in purples and whites announcing the arrival of a new beauty.
