Scheduling posts is easy in Hootsuite. Here’s a quick overview:

1. When you sign into Hootsuite, click on the paper airplane icon (second down on the

left). This will take you to the scheduling panel.

2. At the top of the page, you will see a bar that is blank:

3. This will open up a text box. On the left side of the text box will be a list of possible

platforms your post can be shared on. (you must set this up before scheduling posts).

4. On the right is the text box with a link shortener. You do not have to use Hootsuite’s

link shortener in order to use their scheduler. You can use long links or links

shortened elsewhere, even Amazon Associate shortlinks with your built-in Associate

code.

5. Add some interesting text to grab your readers’ attention, plus a few hashtags. Less

is more with hashtags!

It’s better not to use more than five total hashtags, but fewer is better, because

cramming words together to make hashtags makes them harder to read.

6. You can add pictures to your posts if you don’t like the image that shows up,

generated by the link.

7. You can schedule your post for another day or time, instead of auto-scheduling:
