Measurements: To Fit Head: 56cm; Length: 210cm; Width: 25cm

Tension: This handknit has been designed at a tension of 28 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over 4x4 rib, using 4mm needles.

Hood and scarf (worked in one piece): Using 4mm needles, cast on 74 sts. 1st Row: K3, * P4, K4, rep from * to last 7 sts, P4, K3. 2nd Row: P3, * K4, P4, rep from * to last 7 sts, K4, P3. Last 2 rows form Rib Patt. Cont in rib patt until work measures 79cm from beg (or length desired), ending with a 2nd rib patt row. Tie 1st marker at end of last row to indicate beg of hood. Cont in rib patt until work measures 21cm from 1st marker, ending with a 2nd rib patt row.

Beg Shaping for Back of Head: Dec one st at beg (back edge) of next and foll alt rows until 71 sts rem, then at back edge in every row until 60 sts rem. Work 1 row rib patt, tying 2nd marker at beg of row. Inc one st at back edge of every row until there are 72 sts, then in foll alt rows until there are 74 sts. Cont in rib patt until work measures 26 cm from 2nd marker, ending with a 2nd rib patt row. Tie 3rd marker at end of last row to indicate end of hood. Cont in rib patt until work measures 79 cm from 3rd marker (or length desired), ending with a 2nd rib patt row. Cast off loosely in rib. To make up: Placing 1st and 3rd markers together, join back seam. Sew in ends.

You will need

5 x 100gm balls Panda Magnum Soft 8ply

4mm knitting needles, or the required size to give correct tension

Wool needle for sewing seam
