We just returned from our 2011 vacation in Oregon and San Francisco.  We started planning this vacation

last summer with Gary’s assistance/recommendations. 

Gary had always talked about the fun times he had in San Francisco and at Crater Lake when he was in his

early 20’s. He wanted to return and share this experience with his family. 

He joined us in spirit but we missed hearing him reminisce about how much fun he and his friends had

during their journeys down the West Coast.

We took some of his ashes and buried/sprinkled them at Crater Lake, the giant redwoods, pacific ocean and

San Francisco

The San Francisco location was at a small park down the street from Janice Joplin’s

house at the corner of Lyons and Haight.  We heard they used to have impromptu concerts

there during the summer of love.
