Series

The Akrapovic RACING and EVOLUTION exhaust systems for the Honda TRX are designed for riders who expect maximum performance from their exhaust system. High production quality and state-of-the-art materials give the system not only visual enhancement but also a huge boost in performance. The sys-tems are equipped with an approved spark arrester for the US market, and a noise damper for the EU and other non-US markets.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the ATV HONDA TRX 450 (without muffler insert):

Power & Torque: if the performance of the Akrapovic Slip-On partial system is not enough for you, look no further than the Racing or Evolution system. The perfor-mance increase starts in the middle of the rpm range, and in keeping with the charac-ter of Akrapovic complete systems the power and torque receive a major boost at the top end and the overrev range. At 7750 rpm we measured exactly 39 HP.

CONFIGURATION

The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems differ only in their selection of tubing material. The Racing uses stainless steel, and the Evolution titanium. The systems are composed of a conical header tube, which is attached to the conical link pipe with a sleeve joint, which is secured with a silicon-shielded spring. The link pipe is welded to the muffler. The muffler is the standard offroad design, where the inlet cap, outlet cap and inner perforated sleeve for the Racing system are made of stainless steel, and for the Evolution these components are made of titanium. The outer sleeve for both systems is titanium. The muffler is equipped with an approved spark arrester for the US market, and a noise damper for the EU and other non-US markets. The muffler is attached to the frame with an Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamp. An Akrapovic carbon-fiber heat shield is mounted on the header tube.
