It is hot today and the monsoons are delayed.
This is my sixth summer in Delhi, but it still gets to me.
It is a cliche, but it still feels like I came to Delhi yesterday
This is my room. This is my stuff,I am still living out of boxes.I have my reasons.
I come from the northeastern state of Assam,It is sometimes called the gateway to The Northeast
We, the people of Assam are proud of...
our One Horned Rhino
and ourexquisite tea
I never wanted itanyway.
and that Aurangzebnever conquered us.
Assam’s population is made up of people from varied communities and linguistic groups.
I, am a Bengali.2
'
My schooling startedin a boys hostelin Kurseong, West Bengal.
But seeing somany kids crytogetheroverwhelmed me
I began to follow the kids who were more curious
than sad(like the kid to my left)
me
Being curious helped. Within days the hostel became a home. We, the curious, even started a club.
we were inseperable
But one day. It was all over.
Like other kids, I was scared when my father left me there.
I am Hannibal the horrible and you are my elephants You touch one
you become one
That shack was once a toytrain station.
oi, your dad is here!
What ?What ?What ?
What ?What ?
What ?What ?
Oi, Stop it!
You are going to a better school
Boys dont cry
The new school was nothing like the previous one. The kids behaved like they were under mind control.
To make things worse it was a co-ed and the boys had to wear shorts.
My new classmates, did show theirinterest in me.
But I had closed all doors. I missed my old friends too much.
I had to get out of this place
So I began plotting.
I began planning my great escape.
I began faking illnesses and ailments
All i needed was unkept hair and a fake application
Good Morning Miss!
His face is likean armpit hahah!
Nauseous, feelingnauseous
Can you draw me?

Time taught me to adapt but notto accept things. I had to get out!
I decided to face the final exams with everything I had.
Books and a playlist of eminem songs kept me going.
I did get the grades to go to Delhi University
DELHI!!I will study in
I just waited to finish my 12th boards
New Delhi Station
I was too happy to get all emotional. My mother cried when I left.
In the train that night I began to think of my parents.
By morning I would reach Delhi
..and it was INSANE!
me
The city welcomed me with its finger on the fast forward button.
I was not confused or scared. The desperation to get out of home was too overwhelming for any second thoughts.
I tried my hand at everything in college.
I was at peace
But things cannot always be perfect
The city gave me my first real heart break.
Eminem forever
read history
began making comics
and started smokingI growled
for a metal band’audition
Room sir?girls?
But life in this city has its ways.
The heart was mendedby a another eminem fan.6
Delhi taught me to laze around andponder over useless things.
And it also showed how to be serious and industrious.
I ignored it but the city kept changing and moving on.
It started with the shutting down of my favourite places
But the worst came later.
Then came farewell parties
This hit us bad
Whycelebrate?
Change finally caught up with me.
It made me put my things in boxes.
There are times.
When you are just not ready for change
I have been living out of boxes for a reason
The reason is, that I am going back to where it all started. 8
AUTO!!
Iam going home.
Bas yahan rokna
To be continued....
