This year during April, Thailand has faced severe drought than several years before. Farmers got direct effects because of draught. It is more difficult for agricultural and that slow down the economy. I think we need to save water. Thailand is generally known that there are fishes in the waters and rice in the fields but this year we have to face up with severe draught. Siam Architect Event takes place every year at the end of April. It is the largest event in South East Asia (AEC). This year in Thailand, the event was held at Challenger Hall, Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani. I spent 2 days visit this event. The event featured exhibition about building material and decoration and the interesting booths are as following.

Cotto is a manufacturer of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware. Their booth presents in cooperation with SCG in the concept of beautiful bathroom. The products were displayed in each room. The mock up bathrooms were presented like the functional ones with a wide selection of ce-ramic and sanitary in the cozy and modern classic style. The highlight of the year is the flesh flowers.

Dining out is one of city peoples lifestyle. For the favorite menus, some people prefer fish, some prefer meat while some like eating vegetable. The first restaurant that comes to my mind foe salad is The Salad Concept. The restaurant looks modern and outstanding. Home Sukkapan Guide this issue introduces you to know Khun Panida Tuwanon or khun Pey, the owner of The Salad Concept for her inspiration.

Lifestyle Normally, I spend most my time at restaurant. When I have free time, I will go out to have something at new restaurant, go to see the movie. Chiang Mai is a slow liv-ing city, so I have got much time to do many things.

Whats your opinion about peoples lifestyle in Chiang Mai? People here are focus on eating. They like to check in and take photo at newly open restaurant and cafe. They sometime do exercise but this activity is not so popular like eating. There are many newly opened coffee shops and there is some-thing new.

Healthy diet is now popular. Do you think it is just trend or sustainable? I think it is sustainable. It might be the trend like delivery, just like people consume more clean food. However, I think it is now sus-tainable. People realize that what is real or not and they go in the middle path. Now I think it is sustainable.

Whats about salad concepts customers? Our customers are mainly the group of people who know what they prefer. They often come to the Salad Concept everyday or at least 2 - 3 times a week. Most of them stay near my restaurant and have their salad here for diet.

For people who do not like to vegetables, do you have meat menu for them?The Salad Concept is also serves Fish Steak. Some menus serve meat. Anyway, salad is always signature dishes. Vegetable here is fresh, full of quality and offer nutrient. A variety of side dishes make the menu taste better.

What are your ideas for the Salad concept? Since then, I would like to be a restaurant for healthy food which serves salad, a signature menu. The restaurants concept is focus on healthy salad. For people who love eating clean or fruit and vegetable, we would like them to think of our restaurant. So, the signature menu is a healthy salad and I might add more menus to serve customers.

What attract people to come to the Salad Concept? The Salad Concept has been opened for 7 years. It is my first restaurant that offers quests with a big portion of salad which is the main dish. The location on Nimmanhaemin road is so convenient. The restaurant is for those who would like to have vegetable as their main dishes. The restaurant offers a wide selection menu at caf and serves easy fast food for foreigners such as wrap salad.

The position of the toilet and the sink is impor-tant because it affects water pipes installation.

It is typical to install toilet close to the basin

help to facilitate water piping system more

easily. But if the house has a lot of space, toilet

can be separated. Air conditioner system or

Growing vegetable is now popular trend. Many restaurants have their own organic farm. Some house also turns empty area to farm. Actually, old people normally did their own farm but since accommodation nowadays is concrete which do not have much space. So, it is quite difficult to grow some plants. If there is an empty space in your house, just block the area with wood or brick and cover the land with mixed soil, then you can pant vegetable. Anyway, clay plots or non-use plastic buckets can be used as soil containers for planting in concrete houses.

One of the advantages of travel is having some souvenirs back home. Some people love clothes or bags, some prefers decoration items for home. Just like Khun Pakin Ploypicha and Khun Toby Allen who decorated their tiny home in a housing project. They both often work and travel aboard, so tiny home seems perfect. The ground floor locates a living room and an open kitchen. Most of decoration items are painting and fabric works which some are quite hard to find. Just like the painting from Cuba which is so wonderful. The composition of dining table, sofa and cabinet is so perfect. There is the terrace outside with long dining table for party. Pakins bedroom is on upstairs. Large classic wooden bed bring the room more cozy. The matching color of carpet and curtain and the position of 2 armchairs at the rooms corner evoke the atmosphere of luxury hotel. There is another bedroom for his mother and a storage room. Though, it is a small house, the house is full of traveling story through the decoration items. So, I call this home A home tells a story.

because Northern people believe that having Jackfruit Curry on

New Year day would bring good things, therefore, this menu

will serve in almost every house for breakfast. Besides young

jack fruit, the dish contains grilled fish or sometimes chicken

or pork, small tomato, acacia, wild betel leafbush. This menu

has a spicy and sour taste and usually serves with sticky rice.

It is not easy to differentiate between home and hotel, anyway building hotel to feel like staying at home is more popu-lar. People like renovate ancient building or home to be hotel. Just like Khun Lek Adul Vanichtantikul who is the owner of The Tomorrow, hotel with home atmos-phere. Khun Lek renovated commercial building to industry look hotel, deco-rated with steel and brick. The 1st floor is a reception with lobby and cooking corner. The structure of wooden stair-case is built with steel. A small garden is behind the house. The floor is tiled with black and white and cactus. The mezza-nine locates shelves, books and stuffs. The second floor has a vintage white bedroom and a bathroom with stand alone basin which add more classic and luxury. The third floor locates bedroom decorated in black and grey tone. The bathroom is also in the same shade with polished wall mixed with color. Couple rain shower add more value to the bath-room. The commercial building can be renovated to unique hotel. The tomorrow is one of the home to serve travelers.
