REEDY RIVER RUN
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Reedy River Run 2011. Oakview hadover 200 participants that ran over the weekend in either the Kid's Mile, 5K, or 10K. The following students placed in the event:Annika Bissinger- 3rd overall for girls, 1st in age groupGeorgia Kirkpatrick- 2nd overall for girls Anderson Wells- 1st in age division Will Dolven- 1st in age group, 4th overall for boys and girls Tristan Clark- 1st overall for boys and girls
BI-LO INVENTION CONVENTION
Congratulations to Diana Pittman and Jordan Pomar who won 2nd place in the 4th gradedivision of the Bi-Lo Invention Convention for their invention, the Critter Feeder.
PIEDMONT CHAPTER MATHCOUNTS COMPETITION
Congratulations to Andy Xu who won first place in the Countdown Competition and thirdplace in the Written Competition (Sprint & Target rounds) at the 2011 Piedmont ChapterMATHCOUNTS Competition on February 12, 2011. The competition was held at the MadrenCenter located on the Clemson University Campus. More than 160 mathletes from 21 schoolsparticipated in this competition. There were a total of seven counties represented: Greenville,Anderson, Laurens, Greenwood, Pickens, Oconee, and Abbeville. Andy is one of the teammembers from Chinese School of Greenville (GCCA). He is one of only 6 individual studentsqualified to participate in State Competition in Charleston on March, 12.
