OhioMeansJobs Geauga County has contracted with Great Lakes Truck Driving School to offer Class A Commercial
Driver License (CDL) truck driver training for 15 more low income and/or laid off Geauga County residents with
classes to begin on April 26, 2018.

By calling or stopping by the Career Center you will learn more about the training program and potential funding for
income eligible adults and dislocated workers (laid-off) who are age 21 and older.
Eligible candidates will receive at no cost: Tuition for a Monday through Friday 6-week training class, weekly transportation to Great Lakes Truck Driving School, overnight accommodations and all meals, testing fees, job placement assistance, and an interactive soft skills class.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Age 21 or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• And: Resident of Geauga County
• And: Income Eligible (PRC at or below 175%; Adult WIOA at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines) Or: Dislocated Worker (Laid-Off)
Please bring the following documents with you to the Career Center:
• Valid Driver License
• Social Security Card
• Last 6 months of income (pay stubs) or for Dislocated Worker, proof that you are or were collecting Unemployment Compensation Benefits (Determination of Benefits and/or RESEA letter)
• Selective Service (Military Draft) Registration – if applicable NOTE: If you have a minor child or children in the home, or are financially responsible for a minor child or children, PRC may be another funding source. This high-value training program is grant-funded and is offered for a limited period of time at no cost to qualified, eligible Geauga County residents.
