Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) was established in2009 and is incorporated under Ontario’s WasteDiversion Act. OTS operates the Used Tires Program, a province-wide tire recycling program that has diverted over 50 million tires from landfills.

We work together with innovative Ontario companies to ensure a sustainable

future for the tire recycling industry. Our network of haulers, processors and

recycled product manufacturers has created a multi-million dollar industry

and hundreds of new jobs in Ontario. The manufacturers we work with

have developed new products designed with the specific needs of sport

and recreation facilities in mind. These products have led to innovations in

playgrounds, sporting arenas and public spaces.
