I would like to begin our journeytogether by acknowledging andapplauding your search for personaland spiritual improvement andgrowth. My personal belief is that itis possible for anyone to live a life of happiness, inner peace, andoutward success, no matter whattheir present or pastcircumstances. What is more, thereare very real methods anyone canuse to achieve these things—if theyare willing to make the necessarychanges in how they see themselvesand their relationship to the rest of the world, and take the necessaryactions.

Because a sound technology that

creates the same patterns in the brainas deep meditation is a major tool inThe Holosync Solution, let’s begin by examining the philosophicalroots of meditation. People of allreligions and philosophical pointsof view have practiced prayer andmeditation, in one form or another, for thousands of years. Perhaps inthis ancient wisdom there issomething we can use to guide us,even today.

All traditions of meditation flowfrom one premise: that the entireuniverse is made of one all-encompassing energy, intelligentand aware, existing forever as thesource of everything. Because thereis nothing outside of it, say themystics, because of its completeness, this energy has nothing to get orneed, nothing to fear. Simply because it is its nature to do so, thisone energy continually spins itself

what we call the beginningis often the end,and to make an end is tomake a beginning.the end is where westart from.

AN INTRODUCTION

out as the entire, infinite universe. The very nature of this energy, it issaid, is contentment, love, peace, happiness, and perfection.

The totality of this energy, say the

mystics, is who you really are; yourseeming separateness, an illusion.Saints and sages have for centuriesattempted to describe to humankinda state of awareness where thisfeeling of oneness with everythingin the universe is the predominantexperience. For thousands of years, curious seekers have responded tothese explanations by asking “If Iam this one, infinite energy, the beginningless and endless totalityof everything, if I really am Love

itself, then why do I feel so bad?Why do I have so many problems? Why don’t I feel the peace andhappiness you say is my truenature?” And the mystic invariablywould answer, “You do notexperience your true nature becauseof your mind. Your mind keeps youfrom the experience of what trulyis.”

We, of course, know today that thisis true—the mind does indeed act as

a filter, coloring our view of reality ju st as colo red glasse s give anillusory tint to what we see. As wegrow up, our brain is programmedthat some things cause pain andshould be avoided, while others bring pleasure and should besought. Unfortunately, many of these early associations are true onlyin our limited family situations.Expressing certain feelings may bring us pain in our family circle,

but out in the rest of the world, theinability to express feelings is inmost cases severely limiting. Sinceour brains tend to focus on only onething at a time, we tend to only seethose situations and draw into ourlives those people who confirm theillusion that it is unsafe to openlyexpress our feelings. Our brain willalways filter reality so as to confirmthat its predominant beliefs andassociations are the truth. Nowonder we don’t see the universe of love and harmony described bysaints and mystics!

Mystical explanations of the originof the universe shed further light onthis problem. These explanations

state that the one energy of reali ty,at the moment of creation, polarizeditself into a seeming duality—goodand evil, male and female, up anddown, here and there and all otherpairs of seeming opposites. Thisduality, however, is more apparentthan real. In each pair of opposites, each part is dependent on the otherfor its existence, like two sides of the same coin. “Cold” is meaninglesswithout “hot”; “good” makes nosense without “bad”. According tothe mystical philosophies of theEast, it is the tension between thesepairs of opposites, in your mind, that actually causes the universe tomanifest.

This tension between opposites isalso reflected in the human brain. The brain, divided into twohemispheres, right and left, has thesame dual structure—made moreacute by the fact that in virtually all

other is alternately dominant overthe other, depending upon the task  being performed, advancedmeditators seemed to develop theability to use their whole brain andto live in a more balanced state

characterized by brainsynchronization and whole brainfunctioning.

This and other research hasdemonstrated that this balancing,or synchronization, of thehemispheres of the brain happensin all forms of meditation. Thedegree of hemisphericsynchronization can be veryprecisely determined by measuringthe meditator’s brain wave patternswith an electroencephalograph(EEG) machine.

When the brain is very lateralized(one hemisphere being verydominant over the other), the brain

waves are in what is called the betarange. This is the brain wavefunction of normal wakingconsciousness characterized byexternal attention. At the extremesof the beta range one feels stressed-out, uncomfortable, and (literally)out of sync. Dysfunctional andaddictive behaviors, neurosis, andfeelings of separation—in otherwords, all the extremes of duality —are common experiences when the brain is in the extremes of the betarange.

If the brain begins to synchronize, if the two sides of the brain begin tocommunicate more, theseexperiences begin to dissipate andthe brain finally moves into an alpha brain wave state. This is a state of pre-sleep/pre-waking drowsinessor, if one remains alert, light

meditation. Ironically, alpha is alsoa state of increased focus; it is in thealpha state, for instance, thatlearning, including so-called “superlearning,” takes place.

If synchronization continues, one

next enters a theta brain wave state, the state of dreaming sleep, or if alertness is maintained, a deepmeditation. Theta is also the brainwave state of heightened creativity. The “ah-ha” experience of suddenlymaking a creative connection isaccompanied by bursts of thetawaves in the brain.

If the brain synchronizes still furtherone finally enters the delta brainwave state, ordinarily a state of

deep, dreamless sleep, but also, if one can maintain alertness, a stateof extremely deep meditation. Finally, in the deepest part of thedelta range, the two sides of the brain become so balanced that anytension between opposites istranscended. At this point thenormal conscious mind is bypassedand the “transcendental” experienceof oneness and harmony with theentire universe is revealed.

Any kind of focusing will bringabout a degree of brainsynchronization (i.e. meditation). The greater the focus, the greaterthe synchronization (and the deeperthe meditative state). The mystic, then, sitting to meditate, balancesthe brain through some form of focusing, whether by repeating aprayer or mantra, keeping theattention on the flow of the breath, staring at a candle flame, or by usingone of many other techniques.

Whatever the technique, the effecton the brain is substantially thesame—brain synchronization, andafter much practice, transcendentalexperience. As the meditatorfocuses, he or she moves from a beta brain wave state into an alpha state. After many years of disciplinedpractice the meditator gains enoughexperience to begin accessing thedeeper theta brain wave state (andwith still more practice, the delta

people the two hemispheres areunbalanced, a state called brainlateralization. Since the brain filtersour reality in this split-brain way,we tend to see things in terms of duality rather than the oneness

spoken of by mystics. If the braincould somehow learn to operate ina more coherent, holistic manner, if the two sides of the brain couldsomehow balance, interact more, and function as one, then possiblyour experience of reality would bedifferent.

Our childhood associations andprogramming may tell us what toseek or avoid in order to gainpleasure or avoid pain, but at aneven deeper level the dual structureof our brain tells us that we are partof a world of separation, that we aresomehow separate from and inopposition to the rest of the world. The more lateralization in the brain(in other words, the more tension between polar opposites) the morefeelings of separation, fear, anxiety, and isolation. In fact, as we shallsee, only a lateralized brain cancontinue to entertain the types of  beliefs that result in dysfunctional

and addictive behaviors and thepainful feelings that accompanythem.

Modern brain research indicatesthat long-term meditation does infact balance the brain, creating asynchrony between the twohemispheres. Many researchershave studied this phenomenon overthe last twenty years. One suchresearcher, Dr. Charles Stroebel,Ph.D., M.D., director of the Institute

for Advanced Studies in BehavioralMedicine, performed a series of experiments on meditators duringthe 1970s. He discovered thatelectrical brain wave patterns of meditators changed, in periods of deep meditation, to a single, coherent pattern, indicating that both sides of the brain — ordinari lyout of phase — were workingtogether in a balanced, synchronousmanner. While in the vast majorityof people one hemisphere or the

perhaps our experience ofreality would be different.

deep emotional healing and rapid brain evolution we are interestedin, spontaneously occurs.Meditators invariably f ind, whatever their technique, that thefeeling of peace, well-being, and

super-alertness gained duringmeditation fades rather quickly, often within minutes. This happens because the belief systems that tellus we are separate and not okayimmediately begin to reassertthemselves, causing the brain toreturn to a less synchronized (andtherefore less expanded) state of awareness. As the brain re-lateralizes (one of the twohemispheres again becomingdominant over the other) endorphin

production dramatically decreasesand the feeling of well-being fadeswith it.

Why does this re-lateralization of the brain take place? Why is thepeace, happiness, andconnectedness that appears whenthe brain is balanced so difficult tosustain? Current research into thenature of the mind, and, in fact, intothe very nature of the universe itself, indicates that the universe may be

nothing more than a giant hologramcreated by the mind. Holograms, you may know, are three-dimensional images projected intospace with the aid of a laser.According to this theory (espoused by, among others, David Bohm, aprotege of Einstein’s and a world-famous quantum physicist; KarlPribram of Stanford University andone of the world’s most famousneurophysicists; and Stanislav Grof, professor of psychiatry at John

Hopkins Medical School and theoriginator of the HolotropicBreathwork process) the universeyou see and experience is but aholographic image created by thepatterns of belief in the subconsciousand unconscious areas of the mind.

Since at a fundamental level weshare many common subconsciousand unconscious beliefs, speciallythose of the collective unconscious, the universes we individually create

brain wave state) and begins to enjoythe experience of transcendental, expanded awareness.

So just what is this transcendentalawareness? Is it becoming some kindof a blob of undifferentiated goo

that wants to sit and stare at itsnavel instead of going to work inthe morning, or some kind of robed, smiling person handing out flowersin the airport? Contrary to commonWestern mythology about suchthings, persons operatingcontinually in this type of awareness(a kind of 24-hour-a-day state of meditative alertness sometimesreferred to as “the awakened mind”)are more productive, happier, capable of more intimacy, morecreativity, and more wholeness.Since the filter through which theyview reality does not spliteverything in to categories based onarbitrary early life programming, they see life more objectively, without fear and judgment, withouta need to manipulate others, withoutneed for approval—in short, without the limitations of mentalprogramming. This is, in fact, a stateof peak performance. And, when

the brain is in this highlysynchronous and coherent state, itproduces large quantities of  pleasure-causing neurochemicalscalled endorphins, making thewhole experience very pleasurable!

Between the stressed-out jangle of the beta state and the peacefuldepths of delta there is, however, much territory to be covered andmuch healing to be done. As onemoves into the alpha and thetastates, the subconscious portion of the mind is accessed and becomesavailable. This is where the belief systems that structure ourexperience of ourself and and ouruniverse are stored. We mentallyproject this material onto what is,creating our own private universein much the same way that light, passing through a celluloid image, projects an image on a movie screen. When we enter the alpha and theta brain wave states during sleep, we

scan this subconscious data and to acertain extent re-arrange andprocess it. We call this scanning andprocessing dreaming, and it is,indeed, in the theta state that REM(rapid eye movement) sleep

associated with dreaming occurs. In the delta state one accesses whathas been referred to as the collectiveunconscious, where the broadestand most primal programs aboutwhat it means to be human arestored. The delta sleep experienceof the collective unconscious is insome ways a very intense one, intense enough that in this state wego totally unconscious and do noteven dream. It is only from theexperience of very advancedmeditators (including those using

Holosync soundtracks) remainingalert and aware in this state that weknow that in the delta state materialfrom the collective unconscious isaccessed. (It may be that some levelsof the collective unconscious areaccessed in the theta state also, butit is our belief that the deeper andmore substantial levels are accessedonly in the delta state.) Though thisexperience of the collectiveunconscious is intense enough thatwe ordinarily can only experience it

in total unconsciousness, it is at thesame time such a pleasurable andessential process of renewal andreinvigoration that sleep is the onething that humans cannot beinduced to give up.

It is in these subconscious andunconscious areas of the mind thatwe find the answer to the questionof why, for 99.9 % of humanity, the brain cannot for very long remain inthis synchronized state, where the

When the brain is in thishighly synchronous andcoherent state it produceslarge quantities ofpleasure-causing neuro-chemicals known as

endorphins . . . .

seem to be a single shared universerather than billions of individualand overlapping universes.Although similar and sharing many basic commonalit ies, theseindividual universes are not the

same. Ten people can see the sameevent, but each experiences it in anentirely different way and will givewidely divergent descriptions of what happened. Even twins, withidentical DNA encoding, experiencethe same things differently. Oneperson’s happiness can be anotherperson’s hell, depending upon theirpersonal holographic model of theuniverse.

As a wit once said, “I wouldn’t haveseen it if I hadn’t believed it!” This ,indeed, is the way our holographicmind operates. If the internalhologram is one of perfection, delight, and connectedness, that will be the nature of the world we create ;if it is of fear, shame, separation, and problems, an entirely differentworld will be the result. A brainwith a separation-based holographicmodel will always re-lateralize inorder to continue its creation of sucha universe. A brain with a

holographic model that is unity- based, however, has no need to re-lateralize and will create a universeof oneness, peace, and happiness.

This process of constructing a newand more truthful holographicmodel of the universe is nothingnew—meditators the world overhave been doing it for over tenthousand years, using any numberof time-honored methods. First, through some kind of focusing, thehemispheres of the brain aresynchronized, accessing theholographic “film”—the patterns of  be li ef in th e su bc on sc io us an dunconscious areas of the mind.Simultaneously, through prayers, affirmations, visualizations, etc., theold, counterfeit programming isreplaced with that which is moretruthful and life-affirming. This isexactly what we do in any form of personal growth work — we try toput the mind in a receptive state

the participant and recorded in his orher own voice. In addition, we havedeveloped a soundtrack designedto be listened to during the entiresleep period. This soundtrack allowsone to effortlessly devote many extra

hours each day to personal growthwork without disrupting one’snormal lifestyle. (We have, by theway, found that use of this sleep-time soundtrack signif icantlyreduces sleep time.)

The efficiency of this technologicalapproach to meditationdramatically accelerates thepersonal growth process. What oncetook most of a lifetime can now beaccomplished in just a few years. And, in using Holosync technologyto create deep meditation, participants experience the sameevolutionary signposts spoken of invarious world scriptures andpersonal accounts of saints andmystics. These include developmentof various kinds of intuitive andpsychic awareness, increasedcompassion, greater personalpower, expansion of self-knowledgeand awareness, sharpened mentalabilities, and the falling away of

attachments, just to name a few.A bove all , we see that thoseparticipating in this program become happier. Dysfunctional andaddictive behaviors, if there are any, begin to fall away. A safer and morepeaceful world opens up as fearsare released, feelings are felt, andthe ability to safely communicateand connect grows. Mental acuityincreases and with it increasedabilities to learn and remember, tocreatively solve and cope witheveryday problems, and tointuitively find the most productiveway of dealing with any situation.People using this technology become empowered, changed, andrenewed. They find their place inthe world. They become more balanced, happier, more fulfilled, and their lives begin to work asnever before.

But these benefits do not come

and then we work on changing theprogramming. While meditationultimately gets down into thedeepest part of the mind like nothingelse, it unfortunately takes aboutfifteen years, meditating six or more

hours a day, to really perfect theability to open the mind in this way.

In the early 1970s, however, verysignificant discoveries took placethat have made this whole processmore practical and accessible forthose seeking this type of deephealing and personal growth butwho don’t have the time or theinclination to meditate many hourseach day for many years. By far themost significant of these discoverieswas that the alpha, theta, and delta brain wave patterns could easi ly beinduced electronically. Today,Centerpointe Research Institute usesHolosync audio technology, a moresophisticated version of thetechnologies f irst developed

in the early 1970s, to induce deepmeditative states literally withinminutes, saving years of practice inperfecting the ability to reach suchstates. When we add state-of-the-art silent communication methodsto introduce new life-affirmingpatterns of belief into the

subconscious and unconscious areasof the mind, the process of creating“meditation through technology”—and therefore dramaticallyaccelerated personal growth—iscomplete.

In order to further accelerate thepersonal growth process,Centerpointe Research Institutecustom-makes each tape package, combining Holosync technologywith silent affirmations chosen by

Current research into thenature of the mind, and, infact, into the very nature ofthe universe itself, indicates that the universemay be nothing more thana giant hologram created bythe mind . . . .

without some work. Only those whohave never done any personalgrowth work believe that personalgrowth is easy. Ultimately, a timecomes when the work does becomesignificantly easier, but this is an

advanced stage, reached afterseveral years of work. Up to thatpoint, change is often resisted, making transformation a sometimescathartic experience. Belief systemsin the subconscious andunconscious are gradually changedas each bit of the old model of realityis brought to conscious awareness, released, and replaced withsomething more truthful and life-affirming. As this happens, the clashof old and new can create temporary

upheaval in our life experience. This limiting material needingrelease has been suppressed andrelegated to the subconscious, wherefor years it has been kept fromconscious awareness, because it ispart of what is often referred to asour “dark side”—those aspects of ourself and our world that we, inour dualistic, good/bad outlook, believe to be inappropriate. Thisnew awareness of our “dark side” is

often accompanied by painfulmemories, feelings, or physicalsensations. In addition, when weuse affirmations to tell ourselvesthat this “dark side” is an integralpart of our wholeness, the brain istemporarily faced with running ontwo diametrically opposite modelsat the same time—one that dividesthe universe into “appropriate” and“inappropriate,” and one that seesthings in terms of wholeness andlove. This causes a temporary state

of chaos in the brain until the oldmodel can be released and the braincan reorganize itself at a higher, more truthful level of awareness.

To understand how this happens, let’s take a closer look at the actualmechanics of the evolutionaryprocess in the brain. An intriguingmodel gaining acceptace in thescientif ic community todaydescribes evolutionary growth andchange (including all personal

growth) in terms of the fascinatingwork of theoretical chemist IlyaPrigogine, who won the Nobel prizein 1977 for work on what he called“dissipative structures.” Prigoginewas working in the f ield of

t h e r m o d y n a m i c s

where for over a century scientistshad been aware of a seemingcontradiction between two laws of nature. On one hand, the secondlaw of thermodynamics states thatthe amount of randomness orchaos—often called entropy—in theuniverse is always increasing. Onthe other hand, many things, including life itself, are obviously becoming more ordered, lessrandom. Why is it , scientists

wondered, that some things evolveand grow when the overall tendencyin the universe is for things to break down and become less ordered?

What Prigogine noticed was thatwhat he calls “open systems”—systems that are able to exchangeenergy and matter with theirenvironment—are able to maintaintheir structure and even grow andevolve into more complex systems because they have the abi lity todissipate entropy to theirenvironment in such a way that thetotal amount of entropy, overall, does increase. They maintain theirorderliness—and even increase it—at the expense, entropicallyspeaking, of their environment.

An open system—of which a human being is a prime example—is a flowof energy. We constantly take inlight, air, water, heat , nutrients, aswell as all kinds of information from

our senses. In turn, we dissipate toour environment carbon dioxide, heat, waste products, activities of various kinds, and so on. And, weare more than just a tube withsomething flowing through it, we

are the flow itself—not just a“thing,” but a living, changing, evolving process.

Open systems are very plastic andcan handle all kinds of fluctuationand variations in input from theirenvironment, but each system (eachperson) has an upper limit of howmuch randomness, how muchentropy, it can dissipate to itsenvironment. This limit is based onthe system’s structure (prevailing belief systems about oneself andone’s universe) and its degree of complexity (the degree to which onecan see and experience the infiniteconnections that make our ownpersonal universe).

If fluctuations from the environment become too much, the system cannotdissipate enough entropy tomaintain its structure and therefore begins to become internally chaoticand unstable. In other words, wefeel overwhelmed. If input

continues at this higher level, thesystem will finally come to a pointwhere it is so unstable that theslightest nudge brings things to ascreeching halt. At this point thesystem has the ability to move in aninfinite number of unpredictabledirections, like an angry crowd onthe verge of rioting or a person at acrisis point in a serious illness.

This point, which Prigogine called a bifurcation point (bifurcate meaning

“to divide into two branches”) is akind of moment of truth. Either thesystem totally breaks down andceases to exist as an organizedsystem, or it spontaneously reordersitself in an entirely new way. Theincredible thing about thisreorganization is that the newsystem is totally non-causal andnon-linear with what went before. It is a true quantum leap, a deathand re-birth, and the main

Those using thistechnology becomeempowered, changed, renewed. They find theirplace in the world. Theybecome more balanced, happier, more fulfilled, andtheir lives begin to work asnever before...

characteristic of the new system isthat it has the capability to handlethe fluctuations, the input from theenvironment, that caused the oldsystem to become overwhelmed and break down. In Prigogine’s words,

the system “escapes into a higherorder.” Out of chaos comes neworder, a new, more evolved system.

This is how evolution happens. Allthings grow and evolve in thismanner, whether a seed, acorporation, a highway system, or ahuman being. This process isrepeating itself millions of timeseach minute in every cell of your body. It also happens on a largerscale regarding more macroscopicaspects of your being. Changes incore beliefs and personal habitshappen, for instance, as the old waysof looking at and dealing with theworld are overwhelmed bychanging input from theenvironment and can no longerdisburse the entropy necessary fortheir survival. The aging process, too, is a continually diminishingability to dissipate entropy to theenvironment resulting eventually indeath of the organism.

The human brain, as we have said,is the ultimate open system, constantly exchanging energy withits environment. Up to a point, thesystem can handle all kinds of f luctuations. But if the input becomes too much, we begin to become overwhelmed, thingstemporarily break down, and thesystem then reorganizes itself at ahigher order. Prior to theoverwhelming input things makesense. Then, once overwhelm begins, they no longer make sense. Finally, after reorganization at ahigher level, things make sense onceagain, but in a whole new way, never before imagined.

How, then, does Holosynctechnology facilitate this process? The alpha, theta, and delta brainwave states are states of greatfluctuation in the brain. A graphicrepresentation of these brain wavepatterns shows that the amplitude

(the height of the wave form)increases as we move from alpha totheta to delta. In other words, theamount of fluctuation increases.

When we use the Holosyncsoundtracks each day we aresubjecting the brain to stimuli thatpush it to the point where it must, inPrigogine’s words, “escape into ahigher order.” Then, as we move tosuccessively deeper levels of theprogram (see below) we create thealpha, theta, and delta brain wavepatterns at increasingly lower (andeven more high amplitude)frequencies, further increasingfluctuation in the brain and creatingfurther opportunities forevolutionary quantum leaps tooccur. When we add life-affirmingaffirmations that challenge limitingsubconscious and unconscious

belief patterns, this adds more inputand further increases fluctuation inthe brain, creating still moreevolutionary growth.

When one experiences this process, there is a temporarily feeling of uneasiness as the system—which isreally your ego, your collection of  beliefs about who you are, what yourplace is in the world, and soonbecomes more chaotic. Everyonehas experienced this, with orwithout meditation, because life isintrinsically evolutionary. It ishappening to you at every momenton some level and occasionallyhappens to you in a more globalway. This is why major upsets inour lives lead to the most growth.Chaos always precedes breakthrough and seeing things in anew way.

The natural tendency is to resistthis process in order to protect thesystem (your ego). This is the

ultimate irony, since it is thelimitations of the current system, the old way of seeing things, thatcauses us to feel uncomfortable inthe first place. Still, we are almostfrantic sometimes in wanting to keep

the system the way it is, in wantingto keep it from breaking down andevolving to the next level. This is because we tend to identify with theego — we think we are the systeminstead of the flow of energy throughit.

At these moments of peak experience we try to protect thesystem in one of three ways. Methodnumber one is to try frantically todissipate the extra energy that thesystem can’t handle. We do thisthrough anger, talking, running, jumping, sexual activity, exercise, compulsive behaviors, physicalailments—anything that dissipatesenergy and temporarily relieves thepressure. Method number two is toattempt to block the input of energy. This often manifest as a desire toisolate oneself or, in extreme cases, depression. In depression, we shutdown metabolically, we breathe less,we constrict the pupils of our eyes

so as to take in less light, we want to be alone, to lie down, to get awayfrom any kind of input. The thirdmethod is to distract oneself formthe feeling of overwhelm throughdrugs, alcohol, sex, television, dissociation, eating, or anything elsethat distracts.

These strategies work to somedegree, especially in the short run,in that they may temporarily releasesome of the pressure. No evolution, however, is likely to take place because the system never is allowedto reach the point of peak experiencewhere it spontaneously reorganizesitself. This means that the next timethat the system is stimulated in thesame way it gets overwhelmed againin the same way. Had the system been allowed to reorganize itself ata more evolved level the new systemwould have been able to organicallyhandle the increased fluctuationsfrom the environment by dissipating

We are more than just a

tube with somethingflowing through it, we arethe flow itself--not just a"thing" but a living,evolving process . . . .

whatever entropy needed to bereleased.

What this means in the area of personal growth is that as we evolve,as our view of who we are and howwe relate to our world embraces

more of our connectedness with therest of the universe, what we oncefound overwhelming no longer bothers us. This is exactly what wesee happening to participants in TheHolosync Solution: they becomemore peaceful, more able to flowwith whatever is happening. At thesame time, they become moreempowered and more able to sethealthy boundaries, which of courseallows, ultimately for moreintimacy, more connectedness, andmore love.

Because the healing process cansometimes be cathartic, we providea great deal of support toparticipants in this program. In whatwe feel is a truly ground-breakingapproach, we teach participants, through written materials, telephone contact, monthly letters, and email newsletter, and periodicworkshops and retreats, how toidentify when they are coming to a

point of peak experience, how to begin noticing their ownunconscious strategies forprotecting the old system, and howto get out of the way so as to let theprocess complete itself in a naturalway.

Ironically, it is the very strategiesfor protecting the old system thatsometimes cause the process to bepainful. It is important to realizethat it is our resistance to evolution

that causes pain, not the evolutionitself. Death and rebirth is onlypainful when we identify with whatis dying. Once we experientiallyknow that we are the evolution itself rather than the system that is passingaway and being reborn, the growthprocess becomes smooth and rapid.

To overemphasize the catharticaspect of this process, however, would be a mistake. First of all, thequantum leaps in growth happening

to those in this program are wellworth an occasional feeling of overwhelm, which we all experiencein our lives anyway, with or withoutthe Holosync technology (althoughprobably with much more pain and

much less awareness). Most of usreally don’t realize just how goodwe can feel, how good life can be.Living out our lives without healingour childhood wounds is moreintense by far than anything wemight encounter in the adventureof discovery, healing, andunfoldment made possible by thistechnology.

In addition, when the brain goesinto the deeper alpha, theta, anddelta brain wave states, the brainmakes great quantities of  endorphins, enveloping much of thepain of change in a feeling of peaceand well-being—in fact, one of thereally incredible added benefits of Holosync technology is that its usedemonstrates that the kind of blisstalked about by mystics and saintsis real and that you, too, canexperience it. Participants in TheHolosync Solution more typicallyfeel delighted than overwhelmed.

A final note: The world is entering anew era in the realm of personaland spiritual growth as our planetrapidly approaches a moment of truth. In every area—whetherhaving to do with family, sexuality, race, religion, government, economics, technology, theenvironment, personal psychologyor spirituality—we are at a pointwhere old systems are beingoverwhelmed and are breakingdown. In every one of these areas

we can either collapse in chaos or,hopefully, make a quantum leap tothe next evolutionary level. No onereally knows what that new levelwill be like, but what we do know isthat the efforts of people like youwho are reading this will play acritical role in ensuring that ourplanet successfully makes this leapto the next higher level. To makethis happen we need to takeadvantage of all the tools we have,

high-tech and low-tech, and to takeresponsibility for being the worldleaders in the realm of consciousevolution that we really are.
