Un chilometro a nord di Laem Sing Beach si trova la famosa spiaggia di Surin. Questa tranquilla baia è caratterizzatadalla presenza di imponenti alberi di Casuarina, sotto cui godersi un po’ di fresco e una meritata sosta. La parte cen-trale della spiaggia è occupata da una dozzina di piccoli ristoranti Thai dove gustare dell’ottimo pesce e del cocco fre-sco. Il villaggio di Surin è il cuore tradizionale della comunità musulmana di Phuket, lungo la strada potrete infattivedere la moschea Ban Thao, la più grande struttura dell’isola. I visitatori sono ammessi, anche se il venerdì è scon-sigliato perché è il giorno sacro per la comunità. Il villaggio ospita numerosi mercati che offrono cibo musulmano efrutta fresca raccolta nelle vicinanze. Al semaforo si può proseguire dritti verso il “monumento agli eroi”, seguire lastrada principale per Phuket Town, o girare a sinistra sulla strada statale 4020 per proseguire. Buon Tour!

questo importante successo, arrivano importanti traguardi, l’apertura del Doney Caffèdi Giorgio Armani a Firenze ne è un esempio significativo. Nello stesso anno, la Toyotain Giappone, assume Guido nel ristorante Italiano “Fontana” a Fukuoka, con il titolodi Executive Chef.

La permanenza qui si protrae per circa quattro anni fino a quando spostandosi aUreshino, nella provincia di Saga, apre il ristorante “Tre Corone” nel nuovissimo hotel“The Hamilton”.

QUESTA È UNA VERA SFIDAUreshino è un paese noto per rappresentare la più salda tradizione culinriaGiapponese. Per Guido è una vera soddisfazione introdurre con successo la cucinaItaliana in una realtà così chiusa e conservatrice. Dopo sei anni, grazie al propriobagaglio di esperienze, decide di spostarsi a Tokyo, nel ristorante Tre Corone a Ginza,il cuore della città, per conto della Cojun Soji Company. La mia carriera di cuoco nasce a Londra, terminato il diploma deci-si di partire per fare nuove esperienze e migliorare il mio inglese,

sapevo sarebbe stato fondamentale per il futuro. Nel 1997, neo-diplomato senza uno straccio di esperienza nel settore della

ristorazione, iniziai a cercare lavoro. La prima esperienza fucome aiuto cameriere in una catena di ristoranti turchi di

alto livello, portavo vassoi e piatti ai camerieri, spessostavo in cucina ad asciugare bicchieri e posate. Iniziai ad

osservare gli Chef che cucinavano e preparavano i piat-ti con maestria, precisione e arte. Tutto ciò mi attira-

tre mesi imparai i metodi di preparazione ed il successivo impiattamento, osservan-do e chiedendo, in particolare allo Chef che mi aveva preso in simpatia, con grandepiacere e disponibilità spiegava tutte le procedure. Decisi così, di chiedere il trasfe-rimento in cucina come un vero cuoco, e grazie alla buona considerazione che avevala direzione nei miei confronti, la mia proposta venne accettata.

L’inizio fu un po’ traumatico ma allo stesso tempo travolgente. Il primo giorno di ser-vizio lo Chef disse: “Hai 2 ore prima del servizio, chiedimi tutto quello che non sai,perchè stasera sarai da solo agli antipasti”. Tutto andò per il meglio, fortunatamentequel giorno al ristorante non venne molta gente. Il secondo giorno, accadde la stes-sa cosa, lo Chef mi mise ai secondi piatti, dicendomi: “Chiedimi quello che non saiperchè stasera sarai solo ai secondi”. Di fronte alla scelta “nuota o affoga” per for-tuna riuscii a nuotare.

Dopo un anno passai a lavorare in uno degli Hotel più rinomati di Londra, il“Grosvenor House” in Park Lane, nel ristorante Italiano “La Terrazza”. Questa fu real-mente la mia prima scuola di cucina Italiana, la più difficile e dura che abbia maiaffrontato. Grazie allo Chef Adriano Cavagnini, che in quegli anni mi insegnò tantoanche dal punto di vista personale, imparai ad essere determinato a credere sempredi più nelle mie capacità. Fu decisamente un’esperienza intensa che rese tutto il restosemplice rispetto alle esperienze successive considerata la mia abitudine ad unacucina originale, autentica e di alto livello. continua...

Become famous thanks to instrumental single “Green Onions” was the band’s most prolific and imita-ted of their time. Born in the summer of 1962, Booker T. & The MGs, defined soul music in particularthat subgenus called Southern Soul, where the groove is much more important than the lyrics. BookerT. & the MGs played and produced hundreds of records, including classics like “They Played On”, “HoldOn! (I'm Coming)” multi-instrumentalist in which Jones played the tuba on the low electric Dunn, “SoulMan”, “Who’s Making Love” and “Try a Little Tenderness”.
