Welcome to the Holland Curiosity STEM Program Hello Parents of students in grades 1 and 2! The Holland Elementary STEM Club will be beginning for the 2018-2019 school year. Our first program invites students in grades 1 and 2 to participate in a four week, before-school program that will focus this year on ASTRONOMY and the SOLAR SYSTEM. The program is designed to engage the curiosity of young children and build awareness in the excitement of the STEM disciplines. Meeting dates: 4 Thursdays - October 18 / 25 and November 1 / 8 Meeting time: 8:15AM – 9:00AM Location: HES Library All students in grades 1 and 2 are welcome to join! Classes are held in the HES library, and begin promptly at 8:15AM, not earlier. Parents are responsible for transportation to STEM club meetings. Students are dismissed to their classrooms at the conclusion of the meeting. STEM is an experience-based addition to the standard Science curriculum that exposes students to aspects of scientific exploration in a novel, engaging way.
