Watch a movie of your choice and write what you liked about it, your favourite

character or any incident you loved the most in the movie. Present your work

Interview your parents/grandparents to find out about the things they used to do

Description

(i) Make a list of gadgets that you use in your everyday life such as Laptops, ipads ,

iPods , DSLR camera ,Tablets , Play Stations , Bluetooth speakers , Virtual

Assistant like Alexa , kindle , smart watches etc

(ii) Observe and record the time (in hours only) that you spend on the 5 frequently

used gadgets for 10 days.

(iii) Tabulate your findings in the following table and find average time spent on these

gadgets.

education and community service lead to the development of healthy, self

confident individuals. So lets have some fun in history. Your holiday home work

this year is a little different from the usual work of making files and scrapbooks.

It provides each one of you an opportunity to display your creativity at its best.

Task 1: Lets be a Fashion Designer this summer.

The first true Indian designer was Mahatma Gandhi when he urged people of

India to wear khadi garments. In India, khadi is just not a cloth, it is a whole

movement started by Gandhiji and is widely accepted in fashion circles even

today.

You can choose any one of the following „khadi‟ item and display your creativity

on it. Isn‟t that interesting!

Decorative Material options: Lace, ribbons, stones, pearls, sequins, fabric glue,

thread embroidery, patch work, fabricpaint. Apart from this you can use a wide

variety of decorative materials as per your liking and convenience.

Task 2: Explore your House

Take a tour of your home and see the locations of each area such as Dining Area,

Guest Area, Living Room, Washrooms, Bedrooms, Laundry rooms, Park/Lawn,

Study room, Guard‟s room, Servant‟s quarter etc. Draw a 2D Plan of the same on

an A3 Sheet. Write the Cardinal Directions with respect to your home. You can

use Compass to identify the Directions. Also Answer following Questions.

2. What is the built up and over all area of your home?

The students are required to prepare a power point presentation on the Topic

„History of Punjab‟.

Out of 22 districts of Punjab, students are free to choose any district and will have

to prepare 8-10 slides. Facts about the place, origin and foundation/founder of the

place, historical background, famous personalities of that place, prominent tourist

places located there are to be included.
