Frosty the SnowmanFrosty the Snowman, was a jolly happy soul,

With a corn cob pipe and a button nose, and two eyes made of coal.

Frosty the Snowman, is a fairytale, they say.He was made of snow,

but the children know he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found,

For when they placed it on his head, he began to dance around!

Oh, Frosty, the Snowman, was alive as he could be;and the children say he could laugh and play,

just the same as you and me.

Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump,

look at Frosty go.

Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump,

over the hills of snow.

Frosty the Snowman, knew the sun was hot that day,

so he said, "Let's run, and we'll have some fun now, before I melt away."

Down to the village, with a broomstick in his hand,Running here and there, all around the square,

sayin', "Catch me if you can."

He led them down the streets of town, right to the traffic cop;

and only paused a moment, when he heard him holler, "Stop!"

For Frosty, the Snowman, had to hurry on his way,But he waved goodbye, sayin' "Don't cry,

I'll be back again some day."

Do You Hear What I Hear?Said the night wind to the little lamb,

do you see what I seeWay up in the sky, little lamb,

do you see what I seeA star, a star, dancing in the night

With a tail as big as a kiteWith a tail as big as a kite

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy,do you hear what I hear

Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,do you hear what I hear

A song, a song, high above the treesWith a voice as big as the seaWith a voice as big as the sea

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king,do you know what I know

In your palace warm, mighty king,do you know what I know

A Child, a Child shivers in the coldLet us bring Him silver and goldLet us bring Him silver and gold

Said the king to the people everywhere, listen to what I say

Pray for peace, people everywhere!listen to what I say

The Child, the Child, sleeping in the nightHe will bring us goodness and lightHe will bring us goodness and light

Oh Holy NightOh holy night!

The stars are brightly shiningIt is the night of the dear Savior's birth!

Long lay the world in sin and error piningTill he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your kneesOh hear the angel voices

Oh night divineOh night when Christ was born

Oh night divineOh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beamingWith glowing hearts by His cradle we stand

So led by light of a star sweetly gleamingHere come the wise men from Orient landThe King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger

In all our trials born to be our friend

Truly He taught us to love one anotherHis law is love and His gospel is peace

Chains shall He break for the slave is our brotherAnd in His name all oppression shall cease

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,Let all within us praise His holy name

Away in a MangerAway in a manger, no crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.

The stars in the sky looked down where he lay,The little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.

I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the skyAnd stay by my cradle til morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stayClose by me forever, and love me, I pray.

Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,And take us to heaven, to live with Thee there.

Silent NightSilent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright.

Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.Holy infant so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace,Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!Shepherds quake at the sight.

Glories stream from heaven afarHeavenly hosts sing Alleluia,

Christ the Savior is born!Christ the Savior is born

Silent night, holy night!Son of God love's pure light.

Radiant beams from Thy holy faceWith dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus Lord, at Thy birthJesus Lord, at Thy birth

Have Yourself aMerry Little Christmas

Have yourself a merry little ChristmasLet your heart be light

From now onour troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little ChristmasMake the Yule-tide gay

From now on our troubles will be miles away

Here were are as in olden dayshappy golden days of yore

Faithful friends who are dear to usgather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be togetherIf the Fates allow

Hang a shining star upon the highest boughAnd have yourself a merry little Christmas now

I'll Be Home for ChristmasI'll be home for Christmas

You can plan on mePlease have snow and mistletoe

And presents on the tree

Christmas Eve will find meWhere the love light gleamsI'll be home for Christmas

If only in my dreams

I'll be home for ChristmasYou can plan on me

Please have snow and mistletoeAnd presents on the tree

Christmas Eve will find meWhere the love light gleamsI'll be home for Christmas

The Christmas Song"Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire"

Chestnuts roasting on an open fireJack Frost nipping at your nose

Yuletide carols being sung by a choirAnd folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows a turkey and someMistletoe help to make the season bright

Tiny tots with their eyes all aglowWill find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa’s on his wayHe's loaded lots of toys and goodies

On his sleighAnd every mother's

Child is gonna spy to see ifReindeer really know how to fly

And so, I'm offering thisSimple phrase to kids from

One to ninety-twoAltho' it's been said many times

Many ways“Merry Christmas to you”

O Christmas TreeO Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!

How are thy leaves so verdant!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

How are thy leaves so verdant!

Not only in the summertime,But even in winter is thy prime.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,How are thy leaves so verdant!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

For every year the Christmas tree,Brings to us all both joy and glee.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly!

Each bough doth hold its tiny light,That makes each toy to sparkle bright.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Thy candles shine out brightly!

O'er the fields we go,Laughing all the wayBells on bob tail ring, making spirits bright

What fun it is to laugh and singA sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bellsJingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to rideIn a one horse open sleigh

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

You know Dasher, and Dancer, andPrancer, and Vixen,

Comet, and Cupid, andDonder and Blitzen

But do you recallThe most famous reindeer of all

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeerhad a very shiny noseand if you ever saw it

you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeerused to laugh and call him names

They never let poor Rudolphplay in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas eveSanta came to say:

"Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved himas they shouted out with glee,

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history!

A log fire roaring a little too intensely in the fire-place, candles left burning without supervision, an overly dry Christmas tree, or defective decorating lights have the potential to ruin the holidays for you and your family.

FireplaceSitting around a cozy, crackling fire is part of the idyllic Christmas scene. It is, after all, a great way to celebrate the holidays and the beginning of a new year with your loved one or with family and friends. But before building your first holiday fires, be sure to have the chimney swept. Avoid burning unseasoned wood, whose high moisture content contributes to creosote build-up. An accumulation of combustible creosote in the chimney and ducts can be a fire risk.

candlesLighting a few candles before switching off all the lights is a great way to create a beautiful ambiance,

but they must always be supervised. It is all too easy for a candle to burn the wrong way and topple over, and sometimes tea-lights can burn through their fragile cups and smolder on a table top. There is also the danger of a child or pet upsetting a candle with its tail. Accidents can happen quickly!

christmas treeDecorating a Christmas tree just the way you like is a fun annual challenge, especially with lights and decorations that revive memories of your childhood days. If you absolutely have to have a natural tree, be sure that it was freshly cut when you purchased it. Water it every day and keep it firmly in place with a sturdy stand. A few other precautions to take include always using low-voltage lights designed for inside use and replacing the old extension cord under the carpet with a power bar, which should be kept in clear view. Take the tree outside once the holidays are over, but don’t leave it in the garage or close to the house. A dry tree can easily catch fire,

causing your house to burn with it.

When you go out, be sure to extinguish the fire in your fireplace, blow out any burning candles, and turn off the lights in the Christmas tree. Prudence is a wonderful gift for all your family!

Keep fire in the fireplace

Stay Safe This Holiday Season

Before using a fireplace or woodstove this Christmas, make sure the chimney was swept by a professional
