HOLDITIn 2007 Apple launched the iPhone and completely changed our relationship to smar tphones, the Internet and how we interact with others. Holdit is suppor ted by Proove – a family enterprise with long-established roots on the Swedish west coast, where basic values such as simplicity and informality permeate how we interact both in business and daily life. Much of my inspiration comes from travels overseas on business trips and vacations. Meeting others and discovering new cultures and styles arouse my curiosity and drive my creative zest.

I believe my design style can be summed up as “Scandinavian” spiced up with international elements. I love the form of a square. Even when something is round, I want to give it an edge where one can rest the eyes, preferably somewhat strong and robust. I like to use patterns straight from nature, e.g. those from animals and plants, and I often use them as elements of expression in my designs.

The greatest challenge in this line of work is the hunch and intuition required to know which design to apply for a given product. To pinpoint the right design and element of expression, you must always keep up with trends and gain know-how about different target groups.

When talking about target groups, I truly believe Holdit has something for ever yone. So if you ask me “Who are the target groups of Holdit”, the answer is simple: “A lot of different people”, because I can’t point to anyone specific and I can’t leave anyone out. This might be one of the keys to the success of Holdit – when you have a mobile or tablet and want to express your personality, you’ll surely be a proud owner of a Holdit design product.

The material selections in this collection to a large extent rely on leather and imitations of snake, crocodile and leopard skin. This nature-based collection builds on neutral colours such as beige, brown, white and black. This makes the products timeless and easy to combine, while a leopard patterned accessor y can be an eye-catching detail that completely enhances your looks.
