WavePoint isn’t just fast and exible – it’s also highly secure. The WavePoint system defends against unauthorized access using WPA2 and WPA-Enterprise security protocols so that only authorized users can access WavePoint networks.

WavePoint 10e o ers a mix of RJ-45 Ethernet and RS-232 and RS-485 serial data ports, making it simple to interface with a broad range of wired host devices. It also helps future proof networks as remote devices transion from serial to Ethernet communicaons. Mulple virtual networks can be con gured using VLAN protocols.

Expandability

The WavePoint 10e is available with up to four (4) wireless broadband modules installed. Each Broadband Module is speci c to a parcular radio band and enables the use of single or mulple radio frequencies to add capacity, permit back-to-back relay operaons for link extension, and create

xed and mobile mesh architectures.

The 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz Broadband Modules use OFDM radio modulaon for very high speed connecvity in unlicensed bands, and industry standard security and

roung protocols to deliver high-speed, very secure, reliable, and resilient communicaons to remote sites.

5GHz WavePoint Broadband Module – operates in the unlicensed U-NII/ISM band and uses OFDM radio technology to support operaons in 20 MHz wide channels, delivering over 200 Mbps. The 5 GHz Broadband Module can be used globally where high frequency 5 GHz spectrum is available. To deliver the tremendous bandwidth of 5 GHZ over long distances, the 5 GHz Broadband Module uses high gain panel or very high gain parabolic dish antennas.

2.4GHz WavePoint Broadband Module – operates in the 2.4 GHz unlicensed ISM band and uses OFDM radio technology operang in 20 MHz wide channels. With ubiquitous and global spectrum availability, the 2.4 GHz Broadband Module can be used anywhere.

900 MHz WavePoint Broadband Module – also based on OFDM, and operates in 20 MHz wide channels in ITU Region 2 (the Americas). For 900 MHz, with excellent propagaon that delivers good signal strength inside buildings and through foliage, WavePoint uses direconal antennas for opmum coverage and capacity.

WavePoint 3G Module – uses public mobile (cellular) data networks to backhaul remote or mobile units, using 3G WCDMA/ HSPA cellular standards.
