NATIONAL RANKING: The Pride of Hofstra are ranked13th in this week’s USILA Geico/STX Coaches Poll and 15th

STREAKS AND TRENDS- Hofstra is riding a three-game winning streak following a 12-8 victory over #15 North Carolina, a 9-8 thrilling victory over#11 Princeton and a 7-5 win over Binghamton.

- The Pride have won 27 of their last 46 contests, 35 of its last59 games, 39 of the last 64, 50 of the last 84 and 63 of its last100 games, dating back to 1999.

- Hofstra has won 12 of its last 16 home games at James M.Shuart Stadium. The only blemishes during that time were the14-12 loss to Cornell on February 28, 2004, a 13-6 loss to #1Hopkins on March 13, 2004, a 12-6 Towson loss on April 17,2004, and a 12-7 loss to Massachusetts on February 26, 2005.

PRIDE COACH JOHN DANOWSKI- John Danowski, who is in his 20th season at Hofstra, is thehead coach of the Pride. He has posted a 170-116 (.594)record during the time.

- Danowski-coached teams have recorded nine or more wins13 of the 25 times that it has happened in school history.

- Only 12 teams in Hofstra history have recorded 11 or morewins in a season. Danowski-coached teams have done it sixtimes.

HOFSTRA ASSISTANT COACHES- Joe Amplo, who was a four-year letterman at Hofstra from1996 to 1999, is in his second tenure as an assistant coach toDanowski at Hofstra. THE LAST HOFSTRA-NOTRE DAME MEETING -GAME 6 - MARCH 24, 2004 at NOTRE DAME: The 15th-ranked Fighting Irish of Notre Dame dominated play in thefirst quarter, jumping out to a 7-0 lead, on the way to a 19-11victory over #13 Hofstra at the Loftus Indoor Sports Center onthe Notre Dame campus. Notre Dame’s Brian Giordano tied acareer-high with five goals, while middie Brian Hubschmannadded a career-high four goals and posted one assist, and PatWalsh chipped in with two goals and three assists. The Pridewere led by attackman Athan Ianucci with a career-high fourgoals and one assist, while Chris Unterstein added three goalsand one assist. The Pride couldn’t seem to get their gamelegs until 17 minutes after the opening face-off as Ianuccidented the twine off with a man-up goal off a pass from TimTreubig 3:26 into the second period. But the damage had beendone as the Irish had scored seven times, all at even-mansituations, in the first 15 minutes. Not only did the Irish takean insurmountable lead in the first quarter, Hofstra did not getoff a shot as Notre Dame outshot the Pride 17-0 in the firstquarter. Hofstra goalie Matt Southard recorded five of his 12total saves in the first quarter. But Hofstra seemed to right theship in the second as Ianucci’s second goal closed the gap to7-2 with 10:49 to play in the half and gave the Pride hope. ButWalsh scored his second of the game, and 11th of the season,26 seconds later to start a 3-0 Irish run that boosted the NotreDame lead to 10-2. But Hofstra did not quit and got goals byUnterstein, Rob Bonaguro and Ryan Vilar that brought the

Pride back to 11-5 at halftime. Irish senior Dan Bergerscored his eighth goal of the year eight seconds into thesecond half to bump the Notre Dame lead to 12-5. But Pridemidfielder Tim Treubig and Unterstein closed the gap to fiveseven minutes later. After Matt Karweck tallied his ninth ofthe year with 6:28 to play in the third, Unterstein scored histhird of the game and the fourth of his season, on the man-up,a minute later to close to 13-8. It would be as close as Hofstrawould get as Berger scored 2:56 before the end of the third,and Hubschmann scored 2:49 into the fourth for a 15-8 lead.The Pride were outshot, 49-32, and the Irish picked up 47ground balls to Hofstra’s 32.

UNTERSTEIN NAMED CAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK:Junior attackman Chris Unterstein was named the ColonialAthletic Association’s Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week lastMonday after recording three goals and five assists in twovictories over North Carolina and Princeton. Unterstein hastwo goals and one assist against the Tar Heels and one goaland four assists against Princeton.

KEYSOR NAMED INSIDE LACROSSE PLAYER OFTHE WEEK: Hofstra junior attack John Keysor was namedthe Inside Lacrosse Division I Player of the Week for leadingthe Pride to a 2-0 record last week. Keysor had three goals andtwo assists last Wednesday against #15 North Carolina andadded the game-winning goal with nine minutes to playagainst Princeton.

DANOWSKI NAMED CSTV DIVISION I COACH OFTHE WEEK: Hofstra Head Lacrosse Coach John Danowski,

who led his Pride team back into the hunt for an NCAATournament bid with two Top 15 victories, was named theCSTV Division I Coach of the Week.

THE PRIDE AND THE USILA TOP 20- Hofstra returned to the USILA Geico/STX Top 20 aftervictories over North Carolina and Princeton last week. Hofstrais ranked 13th this week.- The Pride fell from the USILA (Geico/STX) Top 20 onMarch 29, 2004 for the first time since the Monday, March 19,2001 poll.- Before 2004 the last time Hofstra fell from the Top 20 wasfollowing a 10-5 loss to Princeton on March 17, 2001. Hofstraclimbed back into the Top 20 the following week (3/26) after a11-10 overtime win over second-ranked Notre Dame thatplaced the Pride at 16th.

AGAINST THE TOP 10- Hofstra is 6-11 in its last 17 games against Top 10opponents.- The Pride’s highest-ranked victory during that time was an11-10 overtime decision over second-ranked Notre Dame in2001.- Hofstra’s victory over Loyola last March was Hofstra’s oneand only win last season over a Top 10 opponent. TheGreyhounds came into the game ranked seventh.- The Loyola victory marked the third consecutive year, andfourth time in the last five seasons, that the Pride havedefeated a Top 7 opponent.- Hofstra played four opponents who were ranked in the Top10 in 2003. KEYSOR- Junior John Keysor tied a career-high with three goals against Massachusetts on February 26 and three against NorthCarolina on March 16. He also had a career-high five pointsagainst the Tar Heels.- He leads the team with 10 goals and two assists.- Keysor has a 13-game goal scoring streak. In those 13 gameshe has tallied 18 goals and five assists.- Keysor recorded at least one points in 12 of 14 games in2004.- Three times last season Keysor (pronounced Kaiser) talliedthree points in a game. On April 7 against Sacred Heart. Heposted a goal and two assists against the Pioneers, two goalsand one assist at Princeton, and a career-high three goalsagainst Cornell in the 2004 season opener.- The three scores against Cornell topped his previous high oftwo goals that he posted in 2003 against Sacred Heart andTowson twice.

CHRIS UNTERSTEIN- Pride junior attack Chris, Unterstein tallied two goals and oneassist against the Tar Heels of UNC and then followed that up byrecording a career-high four assists and tying his career-high withfive points against #11 Princeton.- His previous best was three assists which he recorded at Delaware in 2004.- Unterstein recorded five points for the third time in his career.- He now hasfour goals and seven assists on the season.- Unterstein opened the 2005 season with a goal and an assistagainst Massachusetts.- Unterstein has 18 goals and 16 assists in his last 13 games,and 21 goals and 18 assists in his last 15 contests.- He had his six-game goal scoring streak stopped in the CAATournament semifinal game at Towson last May.- He posted two goals and a career-high three assists inHofstra’s 12-10 loss at Delaware on April 3, 2004, three goalsand two assists in the win over Sacred Heart on April 11,2004, and four goals in the 8-7 win at Drexel on April 10,2004.- Unterstein also recorded three goals and one assist at NotreDame on March 24, 2004.- Unterstein had 10 goals and eight assists as a freshman butfinished 2004 with 18 goals and 13 assists.

MOYER ON 2005 TEWAARATON TROPHY WATCHLIST: Hofstra University men’s lacrosse player Brett Moyerhas been named to the 2005 Tewaaraton Trophy PreseasonWatch List.- The Tewaaraton Trophy honors the top male and femalevarsity collegiate lacrosse player in the United States.Hofstra alumnus Doug Shanahan captured the firstTewaaraton Trophy in 2001.- The list is just an early season indicator of who to watch forduring the 2005 season. The list will be narrowed down to fivefinalists by the end of the year with the award presentedfollowing the season. The list is composed of 37 players, 35 ofwhich are from Division I schools.

- Moyer, a junior defender from Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, isa 2005 Face-Off Yearbook and Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American after being named a USILA Division I All-Americahonorable mention and an All-Colonial Athletic Associationfirst team selection last season.- Moyer had his best game of the season with seven groundballs and two caused turnovers against UNC. He followed thatup with five ground balls and three caused turnovers againstPrinceton.- Moyer picked up four ground balls at Brown, three againstMassachusetts and two against Hopkins. He also scored hisfirst goal of his college career against Johns Hopkins onMarch 12.

More on Moyer ...- Moyer led the team in ground balls with 58 last season.- He picked up a career-high 12 ground balls against SacredHeart on April 7, 2004. He also assisted on the goal that tiedthe contest at 11. Moyer had six ground balls against bothJohns Hopkins and Princeton.- He was voted the CAA’s 2003 Co-Rookie of the Year by theleague’s coaches.- Moyer was a member of the U.S. National Under 19 teamthat captured the Gold Medal in the World Championships lastsummer.

VILAR- Senior middie Ryan Vilar tied a career-high with three goalsagainst UNC on March 16.- He scored two goals in last Monday’s victory overBinghamton.He is third on the team in goals with seven this year. He haseight points on the season.- Vilar was selected a 2005 Preseason All-AmericanHonorable Mention by Face-Off Year and Inside Lacrosse.- Vilar has scored a goal in the three of the five games thisseason.- Vilar, who was a second team All-CAA selection last season,posted a career high 15 goals and nine assists in 2004 toppinghis 2003 total of eight goals and four assists.- He posted a career-high three goals and two assists for fivepoints in the loss to Johns Hopkins on March 13, 2004.- He tallied two goals and one assist against Towson and had agoal and two assists at Notre Dame on March 24, 2004.- Vilar came up big for the Pride in the second half againstLoyola on March 6, 2004. Vilar scored three unansweredgoals to turn a 7-5 deficit into an 8-7 lead, and then assisted onthe game-winning goal by Ryan Lucas.- He added a goal and an assist against Binghamton.For his efforts against Loyola and Binghamton Vilar wasnamed the CAA Player of the Week on March 9, 2004.

IANUCCI- Sophomore attackman Athan Ianucci returned to the Hofstraline-up against Brown on March 5th after missing the seasonopener against UMass.- He has recorded at least one point in each of the last fivegames and has a six-game point streak dating back to lastseason.

-Ianucci tallied two goals and one assist against Bnghamtonlast Monday. Ianucci assisted on Ryan Vilar’s goal against Brown andscored his first goal of the season at Hopkins.- Ianucci tallied his second goal of the year and added twoassists for three points against North Carolina. He had oneassist against Princeton and- He now has four goals and five assists on the season.- Ianucci was named to the All-CAA Tournament Team lastMay.- Ianucci opened the 2004 season with nine goals in his firstsix games.- Ianucci set a career-high with four goals and also tied acareer-best with five points at Notre Dame on March 24, 2004.- Ianucci posted five points on three goals and two assistsagainst Binghamton on March 8, 2004. He had a goal and anassist against the Greyhounds of Loyola.- For his efforts in the Hofstra victories over Loyola andBinghamton he was named the CAA Rookie of the Week forMarch 9, 2004.- Ianucci had an impressive college debut on February 28,2004 with one goal and three assists against Cornell.

GOALIE MATT SOUTHARD- Junior goalie Matt Southard opened the 2005 season withdouble-digit saves in the first four games. He posted 16 savesagainst Massachusetts, 11 saves at Brown and 10 at JohnsHopkins and against UNC.- Against Princeton he had eight saves including three in thefinal quarter in which the Pride shutout the Tigers. OnMonday, he made six saves against Binghamton.- He posted double-digit saves in 10 of 14 games last season.The only four games in which he didn’t post double digitsaves were Sacred Heart (3), Drexel (8), Stony Brook (6) andTowson (3).- Southard posted 162 saves in 2004 for a .526 savepercentage.- Southard recorded career high saves on consecutiveweekends last season. He recorded a career-high 18 saves inHofstra’s 9-8 victory over Loyola on March 6, 2004. A weeklater against Johns Hopkins, Southard posted 19 saves. He alsohad 17 saves at UMass and 16 at Delaware.- Southard’s previous high in saves going into the 2004 seasonwas 17 in the 2003 CAA semifinal against Villanova.

TREUBIG- Junior Tim Treubig has tallied two goals in a game threetimes this season. He had two goals in the season openeragainst Massachusetts, two goals and one assist at Hopkins,and two goals against Princeton last Saturday.- He is fifth on the team in points with seven on six goals andone assist.- Treubig, who had 11 goals and four assists in 2003, had acareer high 15 goals and six assists in 2004.- After a seven-game goal scoring streak to open the ’04season Treubig posted just three goals in his final sevengames.- Treubig recorded at least one point in 12 of the 14 games lastyear.

LUCAS- Junior Ryan Lucas posted a goal and two assists againstNorth Carolina. He also recorded an assist in the seasonopener against Massachusetts.- At Hopkins he saw time at both midfield and on attack andseemed to bring life to the Pride attack.- He had nine goals and six assists in 2004. He tallied 12 goalsand seven assists in 2003.- Lucas scored a career-high three goals at Villanova on April24, 2004. The three goals topped his previous high of two thathe set thrice, the last time against Cornell on February 28,2004.- Lucas recorded his second career game-winning goal againstLoyola on March 2, 2004 with a man-up tally with 4:25 toplay. He also recorded a career-high seven ground ballsagainst the Greyhounds.- Lucas tied his previous career highs in goals and points withtwo goals and three points against Cornell on February 28,2004. He also had a one-goal, two-assist performance againstBinghamton on March 8, 2004.

ONE-GOAL CONTESTS- During John Danowski’s 19 seasons as coach at Hofstra, thePride have been involved in 58 one-goal decisions, includingplayoff games. Including the Princeton game last Saturday,Hofstra’s record in those games is 42-16.- The Pride were 3-1 in one-goal decisions last season. Hofstraposted four one-goal decisions in 2003 and three one-goalcontests in 2002.- The Pride have recorded four or more one-goal decisions in asingle season seven times. In all but one of those seasons(1993, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2004), the Prideadvanced to play in the NCAA Championship Tournament.- In 1993, Hofstra recorded six one-goal decisions, posting a5-1 record in those contests.

AGAINST THE TOP 6- The Pride is 1-11 in their last 12 games against teams thatwere ranked sixth or better, dating back to the end of the 1999season. The only Pride win over a Top Six team during thattime came in 2001 when Hofstra edged Notre Dame 11-10 inovertime.- Hofstra is 6-23 against opponents ranked sixth or better since1993.

GAME 1 - February 26 vs. #15 Massachusetts: Hofstrajunior John Keysor tied a career-high with three goals butSean Morris tallied four goals and one assist to lead #15Massachusetts to a 12-7 win over #23 Hofstra at ShuartStadium in the season opener for both teams. Morris, a juniorAll-American, tied his career high with five points and set acareer-high with four goals, Senior Jeff Zywicki also talliedfive points for the Minutemen with three goals and two assists,The Pride got on the board first as Keysor scored an unassistedgoal 4:11 into the contest. But UMass responded with fivestraight goals to take a 5-1 lead 3:09 into the second quarter.Morris had the third and fourth goals in the run and Zywickiadded two assists. But Hofstra replied with three unansweredgoals in the next seven minutes of the second quarter, as TimTreubig, Ryan Vilar and Chris Unterstein dented the twine, toclose to 5-4. It was Morris' third goal of the period for theMinutemen with 3:33 left in the half that gave UMass a 6-4halftime lead and started a 4-0 run that put the game out ofreach. Zywicki scored 1:51 into the third for UMass followedby unassisted goals by Brian Jacovina and Chris Doyle thatboosted the Minutemen lead to 9-5 with 5:09 to play in thethird. After Hofstra's Tim Treubig and Zywicki exchangedgoals, the Pride responded with back-to-back goals by Keysorto close to within three at 10-7 with 7:15 to play. But that wasall that Hofstra would get as Zywicki and Moris closed thedoor on the Pride with goals in the final 2:20 to post thevictory. GAME 2 - March 5 at #20 Brown: Senior attack ChazzWoodson tallied three goals and junior middie Kyle Wailesadded a goal and three assists to lead the 20th-ranked Bears ofBrown to a 10-2 victory over the 24th-ranked Pride of Hofstraat Brown’s Field Turf Field. The Bears jumped out to a 2-0lead on two man-up goals as Woodson scored at the 4:37 markand Dave Madiera made it 2-0 five minutes later. But thePride got on the board with 1:49 to play in the first as juniorattackman John Keysor came around the goal and beat Browngoalie Chandler Clarke. But Brown would score the next fourgoals, including two in the second quarter, to take a 6-1 leadseven minutes into the third quarter. In the second period,Britton Derkac and Madiera tallied goals while ChrisMucciolo, who had two goals and one assist on the day, andAlex Buckley added third quarter tallies. After Hofstra seniorRyan Vilar scored off a pass from Athan Ianucci on an extra-man opportunity with 4:19 to play in the third to cut the deficitto 6-2, Brown once again went on a four-goal run to seal thecontest. GAME 3 - March 12 at #1 Johns Hopkins: Blue Jaysmiddie Joe Benson tallied a game-high three goals and oneassist and Kyle Barrie and Greg Peyser each added two goalsto lead top-ranked Johns Hopkins to an 11-5 victory over theHofstra Pride at Homewood Field. Hofstra junior midfielderTim Treubig led the Pride with two goals and one assist whilejunior goalie Matt Southard posted 10 saves. The Blue Jaysjumped out to a 2-0 lead after one period as Barrie scored hissecond goal of the year just 3:10 into the contest. Just twominutes later Peter LeSueur scored his second goal of the yearto make it 2-0. But Hofstra closed the gap 2:28 into the secondquarter as sophomore Athan Ianucci scored his first goal of theyear on a low bullet that beat Hopkins goalie JesseSchwartzman. Tim Treubig assisted on the goal. Joe Bensonscored his first goal of the year for Hopkins four minutes lateroff a pass from Greg Peyser to make it 3-1. But Hofstradefender Brett Moyer scored the first goal of his career, off apass from John Orsen, with 7:13 to play in the half to close thedeficit to 3-2. Benson and Peyser then scored 50 seconds apartto boost the Blue Jays' lead to 5-2. It was Peyser's fifth goal ofthe season. Treubig sent the Pride into the locker room athalftime down by two with his third goal of the season on awrap-around. The Pride scored three times in the first half onjust seven shots while Southard stopped seven shots in theHofstra cage. Kyle Barrie and Kyle Harrison scored unassistedgoals for Hopkins in the first five minutes of the third quarterto boost the Blue Jays lead to 7-3. But Treubig scored hissecond of the game and fourth of the season with 7:15 to playin the period off a pass from Rob Bonaguro, and John Keysorposted his fifth of the year with 10 seconds to play in thequarter to close the deficit to 7-5 after three periods. Althoughthe Pride had their chances, the fourth quarter was all Hopkinsas the Blue Jays scored four unanswered goals as Greg Peyser,Benson, Stephen Peyser and Kevin Huntley put the game outof reach. GAME 4 – March 16 vs. #15 North Carolina: Hofstra juniorattack John Keysor recorded a career-high five pointsincluding three goals, and senior middie Ryan Vilar alsoadded three goals to lead the Hofstra Pride to a 12-8 victoryover #15 North Carolina at Shuart Stadium. The Pride jumpedout to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Chris Unterstein andAthan Ianucci, both scoring their second goals of the year.After Jed Prossner scored the first of his five goals on thenight at the 10:41 mark of the first quarter, the Pride boostedthe lead to 4-1 on Chris Unterstein’s second of the game, andRob Bonaguro’s first goal of the season. UNC senior attackMike McCall scored the first of his two goals on the nightwith 3:20 to play in the period to close the gap to 4-2 after oneperiod. There was just one goal in the second quarter but lotsof action as UNC goalie Paul Spellman made six saves andallowed just one goal in the period. Keysor scored the first ofhis three goals for Hofstra almost four minutes into the secondquarter which gave the Pride a 5-2 halftime lead. The thirdquarter was a period of spurts as UNC scored twice in the first1:32, after goals by Prossner on the man-up, and McCall toclose to within 5-4. But Hofstra responded with a man-up goalby Vilar, his third of the year, Keysor, his seventh of theseason, and senior short-stick defensive middie JamesMorgan, who tallied his first of the season and second of hiscareer, to boost the Hofstra lead to 8-4 with 7:53 to play in thethird. But the Tar Heels responded with three unansweredgoals as Prossner scored twice around a goal by freshmanNick Tintle to make it an 8-7 game heading into the fourthquarter. But Ryan Vilar, who tied his career-high with threegoals, scored his second of the game and fourth of the seasonjust 2:07 into the quarter to start a four goal Hofstra run thatsealed the victory. Pride junior Ryan Lucas scored his first ofthe year midway through the fourth to boost the Pride lead to10-7. Vilar completed the hat-trick on the man-up with 6:04left. Then John Keysor completed the Hofstra scoring with histhird goal of the game and eighth of the season with just 56seconds to play. At the start of Hofstra’s fourth quarter run,Pride junior goalie Matt Southard made one of his 10 saves inthe contest on a point blank stop of a Ryan Blair shot while aman-down. Prossner closed out the scoring for UNC with anunassisted man-up goal with 22 seconds to play. The Pride puttogether their most complete game of the season, outshootingthe Tar Heels 34-31 but, more importantly, putting 24 of the34 shots on the cage. Hofstra also got a big boost as junior JoeMascaretti won 15 of 22 face-offs. In addition to Keysor andVilar, Chris Unterstein tallied two goals and one assist and thePride received an outstanding defensive effort from juniordefender Brett Moyer with seven ground balls. In addition toProssner’s five goals, UNC got two goals and one assist fromMike McCall and three assists from Ryan Blair.

Game 5 – March 19 vs. #11 Princeton: John Keysor scoredoff a feed from Chris Unterstein 5:40 into the fourth quarter tosnap an 8-8 tie and the Pride defense held the Tigers in checkthe rest of the way as Hofstra upset #11 Princeton, 9-8, infront of 2,174 fans at James M. Shuart Stadium. Princetonjumped out to a 2-0 first quarter lead with goals from JimO'Brien (3:01) and Whitney Hayes (4:03). Hofstra stormedback with three unanswered tallies to take a 3-2 lead withseven minutes remaining in the opening stanza. The Pride goton the board as John Orsen converted an Athan Ianucci feed at4:49. Chris Unterstein followed with an unassisted tally at5:58, while Tim Treubig finished of the run with an assistfrom Ryan Vilar at eight minutes. Mike Guadio evened thescoring at the 12:51 mark to complete the first quarter scoring.The teams traded goals in the second quarter as ScottSowanick scored off a pass from Peter Trombino to give theTigers a 4-3 lead at 5:11. Rob Bonaguro tied the score at the10:36 mark with the first of his three goals with ChrisUnterstein getting the assist. In the third quarter, with thescore tied at six, the Tigers scored back-to-back goals to take a7-5 lead with 8:06 remaining. Gaudio scored his second of theday, while Trombino also notched his second tally with anassist from Tripp Shiner. Hofstra would not go quietly asTreubig and Bonaguro scored unassisted at 8:02 and 10:00,respectively, to tie the score at 7. The Tigers broke the tie with1:24 remaining in the quarter as Jason Danger converted afeed from Trombino to give Princeton an 8-7 advantage. Butwith time winding down in the quarter, Chris Untersteinpassed from behind the cage to his younger brother MikeUnterstein, who beat Princeton reserve goalkeeper MatthewLarkin, with three seconds left in the quarter. Larkin hadreplaced starting keeper Dave Law at the 10 minute mark ofthe third quarter. That set the stage for Keycorp’s game-winner, which was initially slowed by Larkin, but managed totrickle over the goal line to give the Pride a 9-8 lead. ThePride still had to work on defense and held the Tigers to noshots on goal and forced five turnovers over the last nineminutes to secure the win. Chris Unterstein finished with onegoal and four assists, while Bonaguro contributed the hat trick

and Treubig added two goals. Brett Moyer picked up fiveground balls and had three caused turnovers. Matt Southardenjoyed another good game in goal, stopping eight shots.Trombino led the Tigers with two goals and two assists. Game 6 – March 21 vs. Binghamton: John Keysor, JohnOrsen and Ryan Vilar scored unanswered goals in the first6:30 of the third quarter to break a 3-3 halftime tie and leadthe 13th-ranked Hofstra Pride to a 7-5 victory over theBinghamton Bearcats at Shuart Stadium. Athan Ianuccirecorded two goals and one assist, and Ryan Vilar had twogoals to lead the Pride. Jeff Santucci and Matt McNamaraeach had a goal and an assist to pace the Bearcats. Hofstraoutshot Binghamton 31-16, picked up 33 ground balls to theBearcats 14, and won 13 of 16 faceoffs. The Pride, who wereplaying their fourth game in the past 10 days and were comingoff wins over North Carolina and Princeton since lastWednesday, jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a man-up goal bysenior middie Ryan Vilar, his sixth of the season at 1:10 markof the contest, Athan Ianucci tallied his third of the year with2:53 to play in the quarter, and freshman Mike Untersteinadded his second of the season with 1:11 to play.
