The mission of Daktari is to educate and inspire underprivileged children to care for their environment
through the medium of a wildlife orphanage.
Every Monday the volunteers welcome a new group of 8 to 10 local underprivileged children for a week and give them the opportunity to discover, learn and become passionate
about wildlife, conservaBon and their heritage.
With the Daktari Outreach Programme volunteers visit schools on a weekly basis to follow up the educaBon from
Daktari. The kids discuss & learn what they can do to protect and improve their environment and country, and come up with acBviBes and soluBons to the problems facing them.
Our goal is to enable today’s local underprivileged children to eventually be able to secure employment in one of the countless nature reserves around them, thereby improving
their future quality of life.
Join us for a truly life changing experience, helping underprivileged children and orphaned animals!
