From the Baseball Accessories - Navy (G), cut:• (3) 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with matching patterns and sub-cut (2) 5 ½” x 56 ½” strips.• (2) 5 ½” x 40 ½” WOF strips.

From the Baseball Pitches with Mitts - Blue (H), cut:• (1) 7 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (2) 7 ½” x 8 ½” rectangles and (4) 5 ½” squares.

From the Fusion Illusion - Indigo (I), cut:• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Baseball Words - Black (Backing), cut:• (2) 58” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 58” x 74” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 2” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to the left side of (1) 7 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to the right side of the 7 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 2” x 10” Fabric B strip to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10” Fabric B strip to the top of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 9” x 10” to make (1) Unit 1 block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (3) Unit 1 blocks total.

2. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 10” Fabric C strip to the right side of (1) Unit 1 block. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 11” Fabric C strip to the top of the Unit 1 block (Fig. 2). Sew (1) 2” x 12” Fabric D strip to the right side of the Unit 1 block. Sew (1) 2” x 12 ½” Fabric D strip to the top of the Unit 1 block to make (1) 12 ½” x 13 ½” Block One rectangle (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (3) Block One rectangles total.

3. Sew (1) 2” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to the right side of (1) 7 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to the left side of the 7 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 2” x 10” Fabric B strip to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10” Fabric B strip to the top of the Fabric A block. Repeat to make a second Block Two rectangle.

5. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to the left side of (1) 7 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric H rectangle. Sew (1) 1” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to the right side of the Fabric H rectangle. Sew (1) 1” x 9” Fabric B strip to the top of the Fabric H rectangle and (1) 1 ½” x 9” Fabric B strip to the bottom of the Fabric H rectangle to make (1) 9” x 10” Unit 3 block.

6. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 10” Fabric C strip to the right side of the Unit 3 block. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 11” Fabric C strip to the top of the Unit 3 block (Fig. 6). Sew (1) 2” x 12” Fabric D strip to the right side of the Unit 3 block. Sew (1) 2” x 12 ½” Fabric D strip to the top of the Unit 3 block to make (1) 12 ½” x 13 ½” Block Three rectangle (Fig. 6).

7. Repeat Steps 3-4 and use Figures 7-8 for fabric identification and location to make (3) 12 ½” x 13 ½” Block Four rectangles.

8. Repeat Steps 1-2 and use Figures 9-10 for fabric identification and location to make (2) 12 ½” x 13 ½” Block Five rectangles.

Quilt Layout

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)10. Sew (1) Block One rectangle to each side of (1) Block Five rectangle lengthwise to make Row One.

11. Sew (1) Block Six rectangle, (1) Block Two rectangle and (1) Block Four rectangle together lengthwise and in that order to make Row Two.

12. Sew (1) Block One rectangle, (1) Block Five rectangle and (1) Block Three rectangle together lengthwise and in that order to make Row Three.

13. Sew (1) Block Four rectangle to each side of (1) Block Two rectangle lengthwise to make Row Four.

14. Sew the (4) rows together in numerical order to make the Center Block.

15. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 52 ½” Fabric E strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 40 ½” Fabric E strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

16. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 56 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5 ½” Fabric H square to each end of (1) 5 ½” x 40 ½” Fabric G strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

9. Repeat Steps 5-6 and use Figures 11-12 for fabric identification and location to make (1) 12 ½” x 13 ½” Block Six rectangle.

17. Layer and quilt as desired.

18. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric I strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

19. Bind as desired.
