The American economy consistently developed and diversified starting from the first settlements of Virginia and Massachusetts. However, shortly after the ratification of the Constitution America experienced a market revolution. At what point did the Market Revolution begin? What were the characteristics of the economic acceleration? How did the economy affect politics and vice versa? To effectively answer this question you should discuss Hamilton’s economic plan as treasury secretary plus Jefferson’s rebuttal as well as the improving technology of factories, regional influences, internal improvements, and the American System.
