This Tuesday, Conrad Hilton, brother of the famous heiress, Paris Hilton, turned himself into the FBI for a crime he committed last summer. He was freed on $100, 000 bond with an arraignment currently scheduled for March 5, 2015. Neither Hilton, nor his attorney, were available for immediate comment.

Hilton allegedly threatened flight attendants on a British Airways trip from London to Los Angeles last summer. While aboard the plane, Hilton demonstrated erratic behavior that a flight attendant believe was an indicator of drug use. He call the attendants “peasants”, refused to stay seated, disabled the smoke detector in the restroom, smoked in said restroom, and threatened everyone aboard the flight. He had to be bodily restrained, and yelled obscenities, and threats regarding taking away everyone’s job. He boasted about the amount his father has paid for him before, as a result of his inappropriate behavior. According to court record, Hilton allegedly told a flight attendant that “[His] father will pay this out, he has done it before. Dad paid $300,000 last time,” Hilton allegedly told a flight attendant, according to court papers.

Hilton’s father, Rick Hilton, is the grandson Conrad Nicholson Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotel empire. Rick Hilton is also a partner in a real estate development firm in Beverly Hills, California. He and his wife of over thirty years are parents of four children, including the most famous Paris Hilton. They are all the great-grandchildren of the hotel empire, a fact that is publicly stated on Rick Hilton’s own webpage.

This connection supposedly prompted Hilton to tell the flight attendants that he “could get all of their jobs taken away in less than thirty seconds.” The affidavit confirmed Hilton allegedly told this to an FBI agent.

In an attempt to excuse his behavior, Hilton claimed to have taken a sleeping pill prior to boarding the flight and, as a result, recalled nothing other than calling people ‘peasants’. Allegedly, no confrontation was recalled by Hilton. However, when an FBI agent read Hilton the federal law, Hilton interrupted the agent with claims of only acting in self-defense, as people were getting in his face. He also allegedly claimed the flight attendants were ruining his modeling career. He also told the attendants that he was just angry because he had broken up with a girlfriend prior to boarding the plane. He then proceeded to brag about being banned by other airlines.

Later that same day, in an interview with the FBI, Hilton stated he had started his travels in Greece, headed to London, and then continued on to Los Angeles. He claimed to have taken a sleeping pill before the flight to Los Angeles, court papers state.

The twenty-year-old heir is being charged with interfering with flight crew members. This federal charge maintains that Hilton “knowingly assaulted and intimidated flight attendants of the aircraft and, in doing so, interfered with the performance of the duties of the flight attendants and lessened the ability of the flight attendants to perform their duties.” Neither Hilton, nor his attorney, were available for immediate comment.

Authorities maintain that, should Hilton be found guilty of these series charges, he will be looking at twenty years in prison.

Assignment: Taking Long Exposure Of Stars 2/10/15

Star trails are created as a result of the planet’s rotation during a long exposure shot. The stars show trails that parallel the rotation of our planet. A long exposure shot on a particularly starry night will produce stunning light trails. Read ahead for some useful tips on taking long exposure photos of stars.

To begin with, you want to make sure that you have the proper equipment necessary for the photo. You will need a tripod with a cable release (Any bit of camera shake will RUIN your photo!), a remote intervalometer that you can program to take the exposures for you, a camera with a B Bulb shooting mode, and something to keep you warm. You will be able to have the exposure take anywhere from fifteen minutes to several hours, so you should be prepared for temperature drop. Ensure that the tripod is shielded from the wind, and that you have a fully charged battery.

Next, you want to make sure you are in the correct area for getting great long exposure photographs of stars. The length of the trails depends on the area of the sky you are shooting. The closer to the pole you are, the shorter the trails will be. Obviously, this works the other way around, since all stars travel in a complete circle around a fixed point every 24 hours. So, the further you get from the pole, the longer the distance the stars have to travel per unit of time. You can find out where the pole is fairly easily with a compass, as long as you know your latitude. The compass should point north if you are in the northern hemisphere, and south if you are in the southern. The pole is at the same height as your latitude (if you are 15 degrees north, the pole is 15 degrees high and pointing north). Alternatively, you could find Polaris if you know how.

Finally, you should know how to set up your shot. Frame the image by including an element of interest in the foreground, such as a big boulder or a tree. Place your camera on the tripod and focus the lens to infinity. Use the cable release to eliminate camera shake.

Know the technical aspects of taking long exposure photos of stars. The longer the focal length, the longer the trails will look. With a wide angle lens, you will be needing to take really long exposures in the order of minutes, or the trails will not be noticed. If you opt for a telephoto lens, the trails will show up in a few seconds, but the composition becomes more difficult. That part will be covered in a moment.

Exposure time can be tricky to pinpoint, so it’s best to find a good exposure for the foreground with a very high ISO such as 6400. When you find that

exposure, you can then just compute the equivalent exposure for a lower ISO if you want longer trails.

Now, about composition. The key for taking long exposure photographs of stars is finding that perfect composition for your purposes. Remember that you need a landscape, or foreground object to make the photo interesting. Some of the best photos have some sort of scenery visible for comparison.

Don’t forget about the noise reduction! If you take several photos, you will want to ensure that you have the in-camera noise reduction off. If you don’t, you will have gaps in your trails. If you go for the single exposure approach, however, you can turn it on. If you opt for this option, though, the photo will take double the amount of time. If you have good batteries, then the choice is up to you.

Noise reduction also becomes relevant during the post-processing part of your long exposure photographs of stars. When post-processing, start with noise reduction. Then, adjust contrast and saturation. Finally, sharpen the image to suit your preference.

Remote Desktop Access (VuuPC) is an unwanted program that is usually bundled with other programs downloaded from the internet. Unfortunately, some of these downloads fail to fully disclose the fact that additional software installation will take place, and that you may find Remote Desktop Access VuuPC was installed without your knowledge. Once this happens, it adds a Window Service that runs silently in the background. Most users have no idea that it is even on their computer. While the program itself is not malware, the software promoted within the program is questionable.

The following is a step-by-step guide to removing Remote Desktop Access (VuuPC) from your computer.

Step 1: Uninstall the VuuPC program from Windows.

Click START. Click CONTROL PANEL. When that opens, click on UNINSTALL A PROGRAM, which lies under the

PROGRAMS category. When it displays, scroll through and find VuuPC. Right click and select

UNINSTALL.

Step 2: Remove VuuPC adware, via AdwCleaner

This will scan your PC and browser for the malicious files of VuuPC. It will also scan for browser extensions and registry keys that were installed without your consent.

Download AdwCleaner. Close all programs and browsers. Double-click on the AdwCleaner icon. If prompted by Windows, you do want it to RUN When the program opens, click SCAN It will now start the search for malicious files. To remove detected files, click CLEAN Now, SAVE ANY OPEN FILES OR DOCUMENTS when prompted. Click OK.

Step 3: Remove VuuPC virus, via Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free

This detects and removes all traces of malware: worms, Trojans, rogues, dialers, spyware, etc..

Download the program. Close all other programs. Double-click on the icon on your desktop named

“mbam-setup…” to start the installation. If presented with a User Account Control asking to run the file, click YES. Once it begins to install, you will be guided by the Setup Wizard.

Keep following the prompts by clicking NEXT. Once installed, Malwarebytes will automatically begin. You will see a message

stating that you should update the program, and that a scan has never been run on your PC.

To start a scan, click FIX NOW. OR… Click SCAN, then THREAT SCAN, then SCAN NOW It will never look for updates. If there are any, click UPDATE NOW It will now scan your computer for VuuPC virus. When completed, you will be shown a screen showing you the infections that

the program has detected. To remove, click QUARANTINE ALL, then click APPLY NOW

It will now quarantine all the malicious files and registry keys that are found. It may require a system restart. Allow it to do so.

After restarting, open Malwarebytes. Perform another THREAT SCAN to verify that no threats remain.

Step 4: Double-Check with HitmanPro

This comes in and catches everything that Malwarebytes did not. Download HitmanPro Double click on the version for your computer. Click NEXT to install. It will start scanning. When finished, you will see a list of all the malware that has been found. Click

NEXT to remove Remote Desktop Access VuuPC virus. Click ACTIVATE FREE LICENSE to begin the FREE 30 DAYS TRIAL, and to

remove all the malicious files.

Your PC should now be free and clean of all Remote Desktop Access (VuuPC) adware components.

The state of Florida has very specific laws in regards to real estate and landlord-tenant relationships. The state is also famous for its history of real estate scams and fraudulent property sales. The following is a basic overview of the various real estate laws as they apply to Odessa in Paso County, Florida.

First, Florida has one of the most generous homestead exemptions out of all the states. The laws providing the homestead protection work to prevent Paso County (and all of Florida) residents from becoming homeless as a result of disclosure or significant decline in socio-economic status. They allow residents to register a limited amount of their property as a homestead, making it off-limits to most creditors. There is also no maximum value that must be designated, unlike the real estate laws in other states. With this exemption, people may protect the entirety of their home’s value by filing for bankruptcy, albeit with some limitations when it comes to total acreage. The property may not be larger than half an acre in a municipality or 160 acres elsewhere. One should keep in mind the fact that there are other aspects to this law, such as the fact that the homestead exemption is subject to the Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution, allowing Federal law to override it. It is best for people to read up on the particular law that applies to their situation and property value.

Additionally, there are leasing and rental agreement laws that are governed by Florida state laws, and do apply to all of Paso County, including Odessa. These laws define the limits on security deposits, time limits for returns of said deposits, and other provisions. For example, a landlord in Odessa, Florida (among other state locations) has between 15 and 60 days to return a tenant’s security deposit. The timeframe depends on whether or not the tenant disputes any deductions. This law also governs whether or not lease terms or deposits are, in fact, enforceable. Since there is no limit to the amount a landlord may require as a deposit in Florida, the Fair Housing Act prohibits landlords from requiring higher deposits from those protected by the Act. The law of adverse possession states that, when an individual publicly moves into a neglected property and improves it, they can be granted the property’s title after a set period of time. This law requires the individual to occupy the property in question for a minimum of 7 years, by being under “color of title” or by paying property taxes for that 7 years. The adverse possession statutes can differ, so it’s best to read into it before making any major decisions.
