Along the way take advantage of several viewpoints to admire the magnificent scenery in and around Mount Revelstoke. When you arrive at the top, the summit offers hiking, photography and picnic areas. The summit is accessible from June to September, weather dependent. The Parkway is a steep, paved, 26km mountain road with 16 switchbacks. Parking at the top is limited during the peak season and buses and trailers are not permit- ted on the Parkway. Trailers may be parked at the Nels Nelsen Historic Area (as per signage). The Parkway is closed to traffic overnight and hours change with the seasons. Check the hours posted at the welcome station as you enter. MOUNT REVELSTOKE NATIONAL PARK First-time or novice hikers can easily access the subalpine backcountry from the Meadows in the Sky Parkway. For many visitors, Mount Revelstoke offers the first chance to experience the summit of a mountain, and saunter through bursting orange wildflowers in the meadows at the top. In the valleys far below, trails introduce visitors to Beaver Lodge Kids Bike Park, the Nels Nelson exhibit and the world’s only inland temperate rainforest. Mount Revelstoke Summit Area

Meadows in the Sky ParkwayThe Meadows in the Sky Parkway climbs 1600 metres to the beautiful subalpine wildflower meadow of Mount

Revelstoke National Park.

Parking at the top is limited during the peak season and buses and trailers are not permit-ted on the Parkway. Trailers may be parked at the Nels Nelsen Historic Area (as per signage). The Parkway is closed to

traffic overnight and hours change with the seasons. Check the hours posted at the welcome station as you enter.

MOUNT REVELSTOKE NATIONAL PARKFirst-time or novice hikers can easily access the subalpine backcountry from the Meadows in the Sky Parkway.

Please note: All persons entering Mount Revelstoke National Park require a park pass.

GREENBELT RIVER TRAILS(access points below)

COMMUNITY CENTRE Trail follows the Columbia River towards an osprey nesting area and bird sanctuary. Choose from a multi-use easy paved path or dirt options closer to the river bank. Cross the pedestrian bridge to a Frisbee Golf course. For the complete version start at Centennial Park and finish at Powerhouse Rd.

REVELSTOKE DIKE WALKCross the single-lane Big Eddy Bridge on Wilson St. and Big Eddy Rd. Turn left onto the dike. These trails provide a good afternoon of exploring the Big Eddy area along the Columbia River. It is best to explore these trails early spring or late fall when the River is low.

WOODENHEAD PARK A popular rest stop, this access point is located right off the Trans-Canada Highway by the Columbia River Bridge. Connect this trail with the Revelstoke Dike Walk (above) using the Big Eddy Bridge.

BRIDGE CREEK This ‘trail’ or more aptly named ‘road’ would be of interest to those wanting an access point to the Greenbelt pathway or to view the spawning Kokanee fish in the fall months.
