Highly Potent Rabbit Anti-(mouse Lymphocyte)/era and
Rabbit Rnti-(mouseThymocyte)/era
To meet the needs of investigators who require highly active immuno- suppression with low toxicity, this sera is now available. Each lot of anti- (lymphocyte) serum (ALS) and anti-(thymocyte) serum (ATS) is assayed by means of skin allograft survival and the assay results are enclosed with each shipment. A typical assay of Rabbit ATS showed a mean survival time (MST) of 24.2 days, while a typical assay of Rabbit ALS had not reached its MST even 33 days post-allotransplantation. Horse Anti-Mouse Lymphocyte Serum also provides significant immuno-suppression and is assayed in the same manner as Rabbit ALS. A typical assay showed a graft survival of 17.2 days (MST)

The original and one carbon copy of the manuscript are required. The text and all other material, e.g., footnotes, acknowledg- mellts, and references, must be typed in double space on only one side of 8 ~ ~ x l l " paper of good quality.
A short title to be used as a running head should be typed alone on the first page. Type the complete title on the second page, and the authors' names and affiliations on the third page. The formal of the Journal must be followed in typing lhe lexl and the list of references. All material to be set in a type size different from that of the text, such as tables, case histories, quotations, formulas, legends for figures and illustrations, foot-
notes, and references must be typed on separate pages. Legends should not be at- tached to or written on figures or illustra- tions. The position of tables and figures in the text may be indicated on the page margin.
Manuscripts that do not conform to these specifications may not be accepted, at the Editor's discretion.
Illustrations. Photographs of figures and other illustrative material should be on glossy paper; they must be clearly marked on the reverse with the number, author's name and orientation (top). Graphs should be in black ink on unlined or bluelined paper. If graphs exceed 9 ~ x 12 ~ in size, they must be accompanied by glossy photo- graphic reproductions within that size.
Communications. Short papers may at the author's request be printed in the Com- munications section of the Journal. These papers must not exceed 3 printed pages in length, including summary, references, tables and figures. If accepted they will appear within 3 months of receipt by the Editor's office. Suitability for publication will be judged on the basis of timeliness, novelty and importance by the usual refereeing pro- cedure. The author must bear the complete cost of publication, at the rate of $58.00 per page.
Electron micrographs and photomicro- graphs. The reproduction of these illustra- tive materials can be improved by using 150-screen half tones and a better grade of paper. The additional cost depends on the number and kind of illustrations and may be as high as $120.00 for a single page. The cost per page decreases as the number of pages increases. An estimate can be ob- tained when the manuscript is submitted for publication.

SURVEY COURSE IN I M M U N O L O G Y
The Annual Survey Course in Immunology, sponsored by the American Association of Immunologists, will be held at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla, California, July 17 through July 28, 1972.
The course is intended primarily for university or college instructors. The number to be selected will be limited to approximately 50. Selection will be on a competitive basis and decided by the Committee on Admissions.
Applicants should submit a letter to Elmer L. Beaker, M.D., Professor of Pathology, University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, Connecticut 06032, not later than April 1, 1972. The letter should be accompanied with the following information and supplied in quedmplicate: 1) curriculum vitae, 2) current research and teaching activities, 3) masons for wanting to enroll in the course, and 4) background in immunology.
There are no formal application bl~nks. A $100 registration fee will be charged. Per diem costs at the University are approximately $10.
