A ‘Workshop on Tata Class Edge’ was organised by Tata Class Edge at DPS
Neelbad Bhopal to learn different ways and enhance the conceptual
understanding of numbers, their relationships, combinations and operations
of the students in Session 2017-18.

issues found in school going
children’ was conducted for
the teachers of Classes IV to
VIII with pre - context of
making teachers understand
the signs and symptoms of a
child with learning disability or
A.D.H.D. The Resource Person, Ms. Anindita Roy discussed how to manage
the behavior of the child in such situations. The area of focus was early
identification of children dealing with learning disability.
There will be a follow up session on classroom management of the children
with deficit behaviour.

‘International Yoga Day’,
DPS Kolar Road organized
Yoga sessions for the
students. The students
were educated on the
importance of yoga and
meditation.
Thousands of students from various schools gathered at Lal Parade ground
to practice different yogasanas.

along with teachers also
participated in the event at Lal
Parade Ground. They took a
pledge to maintain good physical,
mental & moral health.

eating. They can be used to
make beautiful paintings and
crafts. Keeping this in mind,
‘Vegetable Printing Activity’ was
conducted for the students of
Class II where children brought
different vegetables from home
and made different paintings.
The little fingers explored the feel of vegetables and made different patterns
on paper.

celebration that brings nations
and generations together. An
‘Inter Section Singing
Competition’ was conducted
for the students of Class III.
Children enthralled the
audience by rendering
melodious songs. Through this
event, the school has created awareness among the children about
importance of music in our life. Class III - F was the winner of the
competition, Class III - B won2nd position and Class III - D bagged the 3rd
position.

Poetry Recitation
Competiton’ was
conducted for the
students of Classes IV &
V. They made beautiful
Props and rendered
melodious french poems.
Through this competition
the school tries to
inculcate love for the language in a fun and relaxed manner.
Seerat Jaitly of Class IV and Saylee Deshpandey & Leah Thomas of Class V
were the winners of the Competition, Yash Sharma of Class IV won 2nd
position and Brahmjyot Singh bagged the 3rd position.

Celebrating multifarious
cultutres and festivals
symbolizes the unity of an
International community, which
our school takes pride in. To
commemorate the occasion of
Id-Ul-Fitr, a ‘Special Assembly
on Eid’ was conducted by the
students of Class VII to enlighten
th e festival. The celebration included dance performance on a ‘Sufi Song’
followed by soothing chorus.

We celebrate Splish and Splash, to bid summer Bye Bye’
To mark the onset of Monsoon Season, a fun filled event ‘Splish & Splash’
was conducted for the students of Classes Pre - Nursery to II at Castle of
Dreams.

The programme was followed by a
Theme Talk on the importance of
rain and water in our lives by the
students of Class II. The season of
joy delighted the students which
were apparent in the ‘Summer
Boom’, an action Song performed
by Classes Pre - Nursery and
Nursery. The students of Class I showcased their talent and happiness by
presenting a Skit ‘Aquar Trip - Splish & Splash’ based on Do’s and Don’ts
related to wear.
As the students wanted to welcome raindrops by singing and dancing, a
wonderful Dance Performance –
‘Beat the Heat’ with a nice cool
treat were presented by the
students of Class Prep. The
children also got an opportunity
to enjoy the beach games as a
miniature replica of the beach
was made for their amusement.
The most relaxing activity that
children were awaited in the blazing heat of summer was Splish & Splash -
the feel of dancing under water.
Rain dance was the main attraction of the event, enjoyed by all the students
with scintillating music and had a lot of fun. The Principal, Mrs. Vinita Malik
addressed the little tiny tots. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for
the little ones as they enjoyed all such activities which they love to do in
their favourite season.

A three days Teacher’s Training
Workshop on ‘Low cost teaching
aids’ was conducted at Regional
Museum of Natural History.
Day 1 - Introductory Session by
Shri Manik Lal Gupta and Shri
Manoj Sharma was conduc ted
where Mr. Gupta emphasized on development of exhibit corner in the
school for public display.
It was followed by the
museum visit where they saw
the various exhibits. They
mentioned that they give kits
(loan kits) to the school which
can be used for showing
(corals etc) to the students
for experiential learning.
These kits are given on rent to the school.
Day 2 - Teachers were taken to Herbal garden for a visit and taught Origami
Craft for teaching aids.
Day 3 - Mr. Pramod Maithil taught how to make the model of Respiratory
System, Eyes, Ears, etc.

Crossword Competition’ for the
students of Classes IX to XI. Eight
teams participated in the
competition in which they had to
solve the puzzle within the given
time.
