What is FCCLA?

• A student run organization that focuses on family, careers and communities

• Community Service is provided with in the school and community – Community Service Hours are earned for NHS

• Members have opportunities to attend various meetings and workshops

• Members have opportunities to engage in a competitive event, STAR Events

What does Highlands FCCLA Do?

• Homecoming Dance• Child Care for Open House• March of Dimes Campaign

• Unite to Read• Beading for Autisim

• Teacher Appreciation• Project Linus

• Adopt-A-Family• Christmas Programs

• Tab Wars• And much, much more!!

How do I become a member?

• Attend the bi-monthly meetings – 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month

• Pay dues - $25.00 by September 21st (3rd Meeting)

• Dues include your chapter t-shirt!

• T-Shirt Contest!! We need creative members to design our t-shirt for the year. Submit designs by September 21st. Winner receives free dues and t-shirt!

Meetings• Regional Meetings – September and

March each year (local)

• State Meeting – March in Louisville

• National Cluster Meeting – November 11th – 13th in Minneapolis, MN or November 18th – 20th in Atlanta Georgia

• National Leadership Meeting – July – Orlando, Florida
