Kaba safes lead the market when it comes to securityagainst break-in. Relastan®, the armouring materialespecially developed for this purpose by Kaba, hasproven itself to be absolutely revolutionary in tests atthe product certification centre VdS. It is a substancethat withstands the most state-of-the-art break-in toolsin use today.

Varrit optima safes are in line with current needs as aresult of many years’ experience in safe construction.Since the safe’s door fully opens (over 180°), drawers,hanging files and interior compartments can be easilyused. When the safe is closed, the locks bolt on all foursides, making it impossible to prise the door open.

With its small external dimensions and considerablylarge interior volume, this safe is a true space savingmiracle.

All Varrit optima safes (in choice of colour) fit well intoany surroundings. Thanks to the innovative lightweighttechnology, they can be installed anywhere without aproblem.

What is ECB·S ?The European Certification Board Security. It stands for the international guarantee of quality.

What are VdS certifed safes ?The Association of Damage Prevention GmbH (VdS-Verband der Schadenverhütung) is an independent, international, accredited and notified testingand certification body for the protection against fire and burglary. VdS certified safes and vaults are tested according to European norms EN 1143-1and then classified. As a result, you can be assured of a quality product.

What is WG ?WG is the abbreviation for Resistance Level Unit . All tools that are used to attack safes are catalogued. The longer a safe can withstand these tools, the higherthe resistance level unit will be with regard to the time unit. The classification begins at '0'.

Valuables are:Money - gold - precious metals - precious gems - pearls - watches - bonds - savings account booklets - antique objects - unique copies - stamps -photographs - etc.

All Kaba products fulfil the high demands of the European norms.These are catalogued according to resistance degree unit in increasing order from II to V.

Rely exclusively on certified security products with a valid VdS certificate. Only such products will giveyou the assurance that your burglary protection has actually been tested and is recognised by a certifi-cation centre.

Just how the safe is to end up at the planned location is worth some consideration. The lightweightconstruction of Relastan®, however, allows you a practically unlimited choice of location. When thereis doubt, our specialists can advise you on what the best location for your safe is.

Transport and placement

Our experienced transport experts ensure that the safe is discreetly brought to the proper place,without causing damage or creating risk.

Professional installation

“Nailed and screwed down” just isn’t enough these days. Only safes that are professionally mountedwith heavy-duty anchoring are invulnerable to unauthorised removal. A solid construction and pro-fessional installation conditions are prerequisites.

The customer serviceteam can be contacted for expert advice on a hotline duringnormal working hours and an emergency on-call service isavailable 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. NO safe for the storage of valuables without a valid certificate!

Security is only effective when it has been tested, approved and certified.The following point out the most important requirements for a securityproduct:

• VdS (Verband der Schadenverhütung - Association for Loss Prevention) Test Guarantee, inscribed on a metal plate on the product

• ECB·S Quality Guarantee, inscribed on a metal plate on the product

If the protection of your valuables matters to you, we recommend that youask the manufacturer for these valid certificates before making a decision topurchase.

European norms as the standardThe European norms take into account a threat that has become moreaggressive. In a type test on penetration and forcible opening, all productsmust demonstrate a defined minimum resistance value to tools with a mechanical, thermal, electromechanical and manipulative effect.

Relastan®

With Kaba’s own newly developed innovative armouring technology calledRelastan®, weight is lowered and significantly more volume is gained.Relastan® is made up of various materials joined together to form a com-ponent. The hardness of the joined ceramic stones is just slightly below thatof a diamond.
